I personally think this should only strengthen his resolve. He was prepared to die (-> Loguetown), now he has to face the fact that dear ones can/will probably die...

I wasn't implying that, that was what i wanted, just saying it could be a possibility. I hope not, I'm sure Oda will deliver. It might be that he becomes for a time not as "happy" as he is. Like answering back to his nakama, and saying things like: "you are not my brother", but that too is a bit overused. Of course if we think of every possible scenario, then not even Oda can come up with something "orginal".

I guess he'll have to get stronger. because we all here agree that Luffy grossly overestimated his strength and his "outta my way or else" may have cost Ace his life.

But ultimately, Ace died cuz of his own dumbness xD

And to be on topic : yeah, of course he´ll have to get stronger. He used Haki unconciously a few times this arc ( and in ID as well). And he´ll go to Kuja Island... so I guess he´ll probably learn to control it to some degree...

I want to know how Oda will bring them back together.

I'm pretty sure anyone would be "emo" if someone close to you would die in your arms.

yeah, after all that luffy went through I could understand a little bit of grief for a bit.

but yeah, ace died because he was a retard, luffys out of my way or else is what SAVED ace, but ACE screwed it up when he left that akainu bastard provoke him.

so really if anyone's at fault, its ace, pisses me off though lol but I guess he had to die and that was the most believable way that ODA could do it to bring even more depth to luffys character and growth as well.
