The OP section kinda dies when there is a break...yeah I realized this morning, i felt a bit empty inside.
Go to AP or NF, there they discuss lots of things, even when thereīs a break.
We just praise Oda when he brings out a new chapter, we donīt really "discuss" it
Oda made pretty chick so damn hot and sexy...
while average/ugly chick so ugly and disugusting.
There is nothing in the middle... That's what I don't really like.
SPOILER ALERT obviously but
Back to the original topic...
What I like:
the fact that most of the characters in the Going Merry Crew have 2 syllable names (until Brooke came along...)
the characters all have their own quirks, ie. Zoro always gets lost, Sanji loves girls, Luffy is absolutely clueless at times.
Even though the story steers away at times, the overall arching story seems to always remain the same, unlike other shounen shows.
the show makes pirates relevant and just plain badass again, in an anime form.
The main character, Luffy is a strong-willed character who is strong, yet would never ever try to kill another person.
Although funny at times, the show isn't afraid to go into the really serious moments, ie. the moment when robin calls to her mom as her mom denies knowing her is as serious as it gets.
What I don't like:
Fillers, As good a show as One Piece is, Fillers drag down any show, regardless
The "Going Merry" crew seem to never lose or when they do, they comeback HARD...(although obviously a shonen concept...)
The length of the anime/manga, (c'mon...you grow up watching it as a kid and they're still going, your an adult now and life just keeps you busy...)
Some of the attacks in the later stages are getting kinda ridiculous...I mean Sanji lighting his leg on fire, somehow being immune to any heat it gives off? (again...perhaps a shounen thing?)
The shear number of characters in the show. Since One Piece is ongoing and we all have our normal lives, we'll eventually forget certain characters/relationships in the show...
Not enough Buggy the clown, LOL, seriously this guy is just HILARIOUS, he NEEDS more showtime
Sorry for the long post...wasn't sure if this thread was serious or not...
This isn't really about One Piece specifically, but I downloaded the first 200 chapters, and have been reading it for a few days (currently chapter 70), and I hate it when the translator(s) mistranslate the names, even when there is an official English translation (and this applies to any fan-translated manga that has an official English version, not just One Piece...).
The biggest example I can think of right now (it's 4 A.M. here, and I'm really tired...) is Luffy's name being mistranslated as "Rufi" or (only once as far as I've seen) "Ruffy." Also, translating "Buggy" as "Bagy"
That, the translators using the wrong version of the word (there/their/they're; your/you're; etc.) and people just not paying attention to the grammar in English are the only problems I have with alot of fan translations (especially One Piece from this site... It seems to have had a different translator every few chapters, most of which put "Rufi" as the name...)
On topic though, I think one of my favourite parts so far (not my favourite, but definitely in the top 10 or 15) is in Luffy's first appearance, the face he has in the panel just before he shoves a knife into his face, then when he actually shoves the knife into his face... (I now know how he got the scar under his eye...)

Sadly, that happens with a lot of manga... and the versions you downloaded are pretty old, theyīre from times we didnīt have the proper translations (and well, grammar is a problem most of the time...even for established scanlation groups ^^).
As I believe I said before and I will say it again. Having to wait a week or two weeks to read the next chapter. I want a time machine to go into the future and just read the whole series.
