Thread: what if oda suddenly stopped doing one piece?

i would continue one piece my self:d

i´d just say "shit,that was a veeeeeeery good manga"
and then i would just read the other good mangas^^

maybe they would give the authority to write its to another mangaka of shonen jump...

soon will see luffy wearing a forehead protector... harharhar

I think I know what would happen. Someone else would probably own it and do to OP what new writers did to The Simpsons. (Okay, maybe not that far) Face it, no one can tell the story like Oda can. If he gave up, the second the manga ended from where he left off, it probably wouldn't be the best and most creative anime in existence anymore. Who knows? The new writers might leave out things like nakama and honor and the uniqueness of the series. Heck, they might cross the line and give Usopp a rifle, which he doesn't need! Also, the humor wouldn't be as fresh because unlike Oda, they wouldn't be making it for fun. Oda makes One Piece for fun, so everything he does is fresh and original everytime. Although, it would still be one of the most beautifully animated anime shows out there.

I think Shonen Jump make someone else pick up the series, giving the credit to Oda (like a "Ghost Writer")... if Oda dies, that's another story

Shonen Sunday doesn't carry One Piece, Shounen Jump does. Shonen Sunday is owned by entirely different publisher, Kodonsha I believe, and caries Detective Conan, Inuyasha and Kekkaishi.

is this gonna end up like that movie where the author gets into an accident and some psyco/obsessive fat women keeps him to write more stories and when he tries to get away she brakes his legs?
