Lucci didn't fall in the water.....But yea Pell had a bomb on his ass so he should have died and didn't sodam or gamorah get hit with something in the heart?
In OP they kinda get hurt...I mean Luffy gets trashed every other day but I think that is to show his resolve (Croc's hook should have killed him and he was running and fighting with a hole in him) so we know he will die young
In Bleach EVERYONE gets horrible injuries but somehow they come out ok. Like the classic diagonal cut from about the collar bone down to the kidney area like come on for blood to squirt out from above your collar bone it would have to a deep cut all the way down that is a bone cut
And in Naruto they are ninja's we should have random death all the time. Not that it would make the story any better but their job is to put their life on the line and I know Konoha is a super shinobi breeding village but damn I know there are some special ed ninja running into trees, dying from splinter wounds
OK in OP; (ehh are souls really tough) ok in bleach; more ninjas need to die in naruto...I mean there are like 3 old ninjas left and I know the others aren't retired in the village hidden in Florida
I think we can count that as flashback as well.

Yes Peru or Pell or Pellu is the birdman from the Arabasta Arc.
I really don't care much about bleach or naruto, though I admit reading and stopping at some point, its because of the art style and storyline which continually get worse.
I could agree bout pell, he really should die,
but then again, just to name a few ( who should die) so was that saxophone guys ( king cobra assistant, forget his name), they blew his ship up man!.
so, just like I said b4, it's ok
Robin made it so the saxophone guy would not die, so it's not as if he blew up with his ship.
Didn't Zoro kill like 100 people back in Whiskey Peak?
this is shounen, then it's okay... that is fine with me
dunno, i havent read OP for a while now. it has lost its luster with me. I dont even think u can call it shounen, It is more like DOREAMON now. I mean it is 4 kids so i can't complain. I just dont watch/read it anymore.
the only people to die in one piece are people in flash backs. There was only one person i was pissed about not dying and that was Pell in the arabasta arche clearly should have died we he carried the bomb away from the kingdom and he would have been much cooler because he sacrificed himself to save the kingdom.
I think its fair...good guy and bad guy not die..
Oda sensei said that live after losing is more cruel than died...cuz burdened with shame...espescially if the character is famous and powerful(like crocodile in cover story, while the other escape from jail...he doesn't want it)...
and how do you feel if character like zoro died ?...when zoro want to sacrifice himself in thriller bark...i feel worried that he really died on the next chapter...
btw it doesn't matter as long as the story is getting more better....
