Thread: Fighting Akoji

I just read through the Arabasta Arc the other night, and it got me thinkin' about Akoji.

He turns to ice and rebuilds himself if he's shattered and what not, right? Well, that's not much different than Crocodile turning to sand, so why wouldn't the same stragety of using water / blood on your fists / body, do the same kinda damage?

I mean, I dont think the water worked just cause Croc was sand, I think it worked because water is the weakness of the Devil Fruit users. Maybe when water touches their skin in nulls the ability of Logia Fruit users to become their element.

If that is true, wouldn't the water on fists strat give Luffy the ability to damage Akoji?

no, the water didn't weakened the sand guy, or else it would have weakened luffy too... and it's only marine water that weakens ^^

so luffys technique vs the sand guy was effective because it stopped the sand guy from drying luffy.... it would do nothing to ao kiji...

Well, the water didn't only prevent Crocodile from draning the moisture out of it, it also made him corporeal. Like, when the those pirates showed up in Arabasta and we first saw Croc... They all stabbed him but it had no effect - however, if the swords woulda been wet it woulda killed him right then and there. Sorta how Robin was gonna take him out.

I'm not really talking about all Devil Fruit users, I'm more talking about the Logia ( sorry if I spelled that wrong ) ones. I'm saying water on an object that hits them will prevent them from transforming into their element.

Also, I saw him freeze the sea, but I dont think that has a huge bearin' on what Im talking about. Who's to say he can freeze the water coming at him on a fist in time to make it something he can control?

i think luffy should just get some seastone gloves....( well seastone on the outside off the glove....not the inside )

Just use gumgum-bazooka and launch his ass into the sun and melt him.

Or put a seastone on Akoji while he is frozen, then smash him. And about him being immune to sea water. It is flawed. He never touched sea water, and when he does freeze it, it takes a while. If he hell off a ship, he would definately drown before freezing the sea.

well i think its rather simple on how to beat him, if you wanna use a really lame example, pokiman; you see rubber beats electricity, water beats fire, and idk where the hell im going with this but if you ask me i think the perfect excuse for ace to come back is to help luffy out with whats his face cus think about it, if not turning it into dry ice ace's fire could melt the ice and whatnot... ace... must come back... do i make sense? probably not

yea i think your right....i think ace will come back and help luffy and thats the only time robin wont feel worried anymore coz she will see the ace is with them and ace can beat aokiji
