The Camie Thread!

So for those who have read the latest chapter Camie has bee officially introduced into the storyline^^, which means likely Haitci isn't too far behind.

Back to Camie though, what to you guys think of her? It mentions that her dream is to become a designer but we have to wonder what type and whether a designer could have any function for our favorite pirates^^. The other question is if not why add the information?

Obviously as more information is brought up this thread will have more to discuss but post your opinions of Camie in the mean time^^.

Personally I'd love to see her join the crew but for the time being I see her more as a Vivi like character, someone who wil travel with them for a bit then eventually leave. We can certainly tell from the latest chapter that Oda has given her an "interesting" personality^^

She could be totally random or serves a purpose similar to Vivi, but I really do hope she will enter the crew along with the sea star *_*

She could be the designer of the crew's clothes and etc. Or just stay around while making weird faces xD

I think she just introduces Mermaid Island, the possible nakama probably comes after.

In a way this is the same way Brooke was introduced to a strawhat, but there are many ways to introduce nakama, such as Robin and Franky.

Well she can cook. Maybe an assistant chef/designer/underwater... person/cute mermaid?

Though yeah, she's probably like Vivi... Dang.

I didn't really consider that she could join the crew when she showed up. I just saw her as a confinient way for the SH to get info on mermaid island and especially how to get there.

Whether she joins later, I don't really care atm. Would certainly be funny given her attitude. But on the other hand she can't even walk. She seems far away from being 30 (at which time the tail turns into legs), so the SH would've to carry her around all the time. That just doesn't seem likely to me.

For now I'm curious about mermaid island. Is it under water, how will that affect the DF users. If it is in a bubble at the bottom of the sea, how do all the mermaids move around on the "dry land" with their tail?
Knowing Oda it'll be sweet.

But I'm also shocked, how easy Ruffy decided to do nothing about the Ace thing.

well for starters we got the mermaid.

now she just has to eat a df and join the team then i'd be happy

I've been thinking and wouldn't it be just "classic" for oda to do something like give the strawhats a merman?

well yes. we have a skelleton, we have a cyborg, so why not.

But i dont think it'll be a merman. we already got 6 males in the team. so it will most likely be a mermaid.
