Thread: Kuma

So this has already been brought up elsewhere but who here thinks that the Strawhats will have to fight Kuma in this Thriller Bark arc? Please elaborate if you will.

I for one think that this is the end of Thriller Bark. I mean the fact that the crew could even put up one last combined effort against Oz was impressive considering the pounding they took. Although I wouldn't be opposed to seeing the whole team fight at 10% against a shichibukai (instead of Luffy just fighting him himself) I just don't see it happening.

I think it's gonna stay a 1 shichibukai fight per arc type of deal, taking out 2 at once would cause a bit of an imbalance in that entire setup plus you don't really know enough about Kuma just that he's a naval lackey and fighting for the sake of fighting isn't the way one piece rolls

if kuma attacks the strawhats it will be the end for them, so no :P and I'm wondering how they will get their shadows back to begin with ^^"

i think they won't fight kuma, but he will bring them to bigger arc, considering they will meet jimbe, maybe kuma will just observe them for now

actually this got me thinking about another possibility. I think that it's a given that Zoro will eventually fight Hawk Eyes again, but what about anyone else? Do you think One Piece will ever get to a point that everyone is strong enough to beat a shichibukai? Or maybe just the monster trio?

Nope, Shichibukai are boss-captains in exclusive form for Luffy onlt ;p The only bigger fight like that will be SH crew v.s BB crew.

If the Shichibukai are Luffy only, how come Zoro will beat Hawkeye then? =P

a possibility could be that Kuma helps out the Strawhats. another could be that he would Teleport the crew in prison or something.

I can't believe that I never thought of Kuma helping out the Strawhats. I can see it now, Kuma only pretended to be a military lackey while waiting for a group strong enough to take down the WG. Or maybe not, but I still think that would be cool. I mean, I hope that the shichibukai isn't just going to be a list of people for Luffy or other members (I don't care what you say I'm a Sanji fan and he better get an awesome shichibukai fight). An unexpected ally might be a nice way to switch things up.
