And what'd make it even weirder is if he won... I mean, it's possible, but it'd have to be something even more ridiculous than his victory over the merman (Who's name currently eludes me... But you should know who I'm talking about)

what i say is that when the government will evaluate each one threat, the only thing they will know for what happened in the train is that there was 3 guys that defeted all marines.... and they will know who defeated wanze and nero (so usopp will not be "awarded" for these two), but for the rest they just DON'T know, or know too few, so they will consider the 3 as if they acted together, and then usopp will have a bounty...
    that's all..

ya but just for fighting ponds u dont get much of a bounty though some how i have been thinking lately.... if he really gets a high bounty i think that his life will be miserable since he will be a target to bounty hunters and all.... probably will end up hiding behind zoro's back whereever he goes... since i doubt his character will change because thats whats great about him... he is those that will become strong when his frens are in trouble but normally he is just plain week....

His victory wasn't exactly a fluke. Usopp saw an opportunity and used it to his advantage. Hell, he even taunted the dude.

Usopp may be cowardly, but in a world where most people use brute strength to overcome odds, his brains could be an even more powerful weapon. He thinks outside the box (i.e. the giants, dials, multi-use slingshot ammo) instead of just running head-first into an obstacle.

I never claimed that it was a fluke, I was merely saying that it was... Unexpected? I'm having trouble coming up with a word to correctly describe what I'm trying to convey
