I think it was the 3 supreme admirals. On the MSN OP group there are about 50 idiots who are convinced the Roger turned himself in. Im sure he was sick of being the most powerful pirate in the world and just wanted to get his head chopped off... morons...

I'm with you on that one, but at the same time it wouldn't surprise me if he did hand himself in...but it would have had to have been one hell of deal for him to do so. Although this is something that just occured to me could there have been a traitor in Gold's crew? Someone like that could well have been the first of the gods of pirates as well as the most loathed man in all of piratedom.

Piratedom lol funny word...but still even if there is a traitor who would be strong enough to take down and arrest the pirate king?

A traitor allows for all sorts of nasty ambushes and sabotage. Also consider for one moment IF Gold was a devil fruit user what slipping powdered seastone into his food or drink would do to him.

Just to make this one hundred percent clear I am not saying Gold used a devil fruit or that he didn't. For the love of all thats sinister, dark and unholy don't start screaming about it. I'm just considering a possibility.

Like I said one hell of a deal. Consider how evil it would be for him to discover after it was too late that the one he saved had betrayed him. Ah so many possibilities I can only hope for some more info in the next arc as I doubt we will get any here although you never know.

Another thing why take him back to the place of his birth to execute him why not carry out the execution in a place like Enies Lobby? I mean I understand the poetry behind it but still.

That makes sense. I never considered him sacrificing himself to save his crew (sounds like something Luffy might do). All the fools on the MSN board are convinced he just turned himself in because he had "achieved it all", or "had done it all". Retarded... [/quote]

Hmm... sacrifice sounds the most reasonable - thats what Luffy and others are doing all the time, and becouse theyre similiar to Gold's crew... That makes sense. I hope they meet one of his old crewmates who will tell more (yay, FLASHBACKS!!)
