Thread: one piece Theories

is their any one piece theories cause I have one.

Ok i believe that the world of one piece is set in the future. The hidden dark times that the world gonverment try to hide is the present and i think that a horrible nuclear war occured. In order to not repeat past mistakes the world goverment completly replaced the history but for some reason people wrote them in the polyglyphs. Also the reason why the Grand lines weather is soo fucked up and why their are the devil fruits is a result from the nuclear war.

Dont misunderstand me, but.... NO.


First, in a nuclear war scenario, where the whole world gets destroyed, the regeneration for the world wouldn't take 1000 or 800 years like in One Piece, but 100.000 years or more


Second, the world goverment are the evil ones in One Piece, not the good protectors of the world.

The ancient country that was destroyed, by the organisation that became later on the "World Goverment", are the real good ones, and the World Goverment are the enemys of them.
This ancient country got beaten by the "world goverment"-organisation... but before ending to exist the last people of this country left the glyphs to tell their story!

Then the world goverment became the almighty force like it is today and forbids to ask about the past because this would reveal that the world goverment was just a evil organisation that took over a pieceful country.

It would take far less time than that... some hundreds years would be enough.

That is not true... the WG is not more evil than the others, and is only trying to maintain peace.
Sure, the earlier WG had done some horrible things in the past, but it doesn't mean that the ancient kingdom was full of nice people and got attacked by the baddies from the future WG.... and also, hiding the truth doesn't make the current government Evil, as revealing it may lead to unnecessary genocides, wars, killings, revolutions, etc., and they are trying to prevent that mess...

kinda goes with the qoute why does treason never succeed. because if it succeeds, then it isn't treason anymore.

it is an interesting theory, try reading the council of war series.
there will be dragons
emerald sea
against the tide
east of the sun west of the moon

these books would go hand in hand with the whole one piece is set in the future. and would also cover how there are merpeople, dinosuars, and the like

i have one speculation; the D's are somewhat descended from the survivors of the lost civilization that the WG destroyed.

there would more Ds than that, so i'd rather think they are the descendant of this country's nobility or elite

here is a theorie i have. When somone who ate a devil fruit dies the fruit they ate grows out of them (If anyone seen betterman than you would know what i talk about it). would also explain why there are so few of them left And on a strech the "dark time" could be a huge war between all fruit eaters, That lasted so long all Island were affected and it caused the watter to rise. And since the battle mainly took place in the grand line it also explains why it is such a terribe dangerous place to travel through.
PS if these theories has been discussed alredy or thay told in manga than plz thow up a link or tell Chapters than disregaurd.

the world government are made out to be 'evil' or bad in one piece simply because the protagonists are pirates which is part of Oda's whole role reversal theme where pirates are the heroes instead of the criminals.

Since the GomuGomu fruit is from the GomuGomu Tree that only has a fruit every 100years or so, it can be assumed that every devil fruit is from such a tree.


And the pirates are not the good ones either, they are bad in a certain way... but its not whether they are good or bad, its more about that the pirates are free and the marine/government is not. Because thats the only sure thing there.

There is a statement made in one filler episode of the OnePiece anime, where Ussop fights a Guy named Daddy in Loguetown. And this Daddy used to have a fight with Ussops father, and after his victory he said something like when a pirate gets caught he has to get hanged, but when a pirate wins its up to him to let his oponent live or not, because pirates are free.
I just love this statement.
