Thread: Ace and Teach[spoilers]

that's a good theory, it would seem kinda unexpected but now it doesn't

but yeah, i read something on a nother forum predicting about the paper in Luffy's hat would be like a summoning thing to bring Ace back, I think it seems like a naruto rip off (4th hokage's jutsu in the kakashi gaiden arc) but i don't know, it would bring about an interesting way to bring ace into the picture, i mean it would bring him back into luffy's life

and Teach I think it's solved that he's pretty much just psychopathic and probably evil, but the hat thing and Ace and Teach for that matter where do you think Oda's gonna go with that

I don't mean this to be a how will it end thing but how do you think that Teach will show up in Luffy's life, like soon or like in another 50 chapters after they inevitably meet Jimbei at the Merman city place

At the very least we'll see him again after Ruffy beat BB. It's just a question of how long it will take BB to catch up to Ruffy.

I hope it deosn't happen in the near future, because I somehow have the feeling it would make the manga longer.


But Ace is alive. He told Ruffy they'll meet again, gave him that piece of paper and Ruffy told him that they'd had to fight over who gets to become pirate king.
That alone is proof that Ace won't die.

Ace dying would be the same like Whitebeard killing Shanks and Ruffy never being able to give him back his hat.

It's just not gonna happen.

If Oda wanted to go down that road he'd done it already (Lysopp would be dead)

It's definately not a flashback either. The border may be dark, but it isn't the usual black border that Oda (and all other mangakas) keep using for flashbacks.

i think gara15 may hav hit the nail on the head. i mean, the people who carry the D r scattered through the world n many dun even know about the fact that all the D's r related. also, even a giant carries the D. the D's r very strong so i dun think ace wil die

I know that it says it is in the past, but a flashback is usually a memory or a storytelling of the events in the past. Besides, I'm only basing this on the fact that the borders aren't as dark as when Oda really DOES do flashbacks. *looks at Sanji's, Nami's, Zoro's, etc flashbacks* Yup, those borders are just plain black. This one is definately grey.

it can't as Ace was sure of himself until he saw BB ability (and even if he was not, he wouldn't have admit defeat before even trying)

it's probable that it is destined to either WB or some other friends of Ace, but Ace didn't need to be prepared to lose to give it to luffy
The sea is big, so Ace may just have been unsure to come back quick enough to be around WB before luffy ;p

Ace said to Ruffy "that paper will let us meet again".

How is that a message to WB?

unless it is a magical paper that would make ace appear before luffy (arf ), it is either an invitation to some pirate summit ace thought he would be attending, or a message asking WB (or other common friend) to care for luffy or something
