Thread: Who Is The Better Swordsman Now??

shanks would definently win hands down.

Yeah shanks was on par with mihawk, zorros 100 years too early to even be on the same poll as them.

This is for those who think I screwed up for not including Mihawk in the poll:

1) Firstly, Mihawk is already hailed as THE strongest swordsman in OP as of this writing... now, what you fa66ots do not understand is why the fack should I compare these two guys (Zoro and one-armed Shanks) to Mihawk who is ALREADY the best (which makes the poll loses its purpose anyway)

2) this poll is to compare between two VERY GOOD swordsman (see above), Shanks was on par with Mihawk (so the legend says) but now he has lost one arm (which may or may not make him weaker); and I just want to pit him against Zoro, another fellow swordsman; acknowledged for his virtues by Mihawk himself and as we can see, he is getting stronger and stronger.

3) While Zoro, whom some of you fa65 does not feel even worthy to be included in this poll, is definitely weaker than Mihawk in the past, but that was BEFORE the mugiwaras enter the Grand Line. Too much had happened after that. Now he can cut through metal and can fight with the best there is in the Grand Line. Surely he has become better these days.

4) This poll is about who is the BETTER swordsman not the BEST swordsman so I feel Mihawk should not be included here.

5) If you tight-arsed ppl still do not agree with me and still sees Mihawk as the God of Swords and thus should be included in this poll, you can flame me f.o.c but Athura will come after you and you guys sure an illiterate lot (can't you read what I wrote???)

hmm...well, just because Shanks lost one of his arm doesn't mean he swordsmanship skills has been affected. I mean, the human body has a natural tendency to compensate for the lost of a part. For example, if a person is blind, the body naturally sharpens its other senses to compensate for that one sense. I think that is the same with Shanks. When he lost his arm, the body compensated itself by strengthening his other arm. For all we know, his right arm is inhumanely strong (well, it already was inhumanely strong from the start, I'm assuming. But even stronger).

Insulting and flaming other people just becouse they have different opinion than you. How very mature....

However, if you show me how Zorro paralyze the whole pirate ship just with his aura, how he cut the sky with one swing of this sword, or how he attack the strongest pirate in the world, and actually survive first few hits, then I will agree that vs. thread like this will actually have some meaning, and will eventually even vote there....
In present, this pool is both stupid and useless

currently, shanks is the obvious choice, in the future though, who knows?

In the future Zoro has to get an upgrade in strength so he can fight properly with Mihawk towards the end.

i agree with everyone that shanks is superior to Zoro by far, i mean he is one of the emperors and the only weapon that we have seen him use yet is the sword. also, why is he ranked one of the strongest people when he is not even the best in the one weapon we have seen him use yet, and yes, i know about all that strong spirit junk.

i would say Shanks now Zoro later cuz if Zoro can't beat Shanks when he gets to the point of facing Mihawk so is he deadmeat

but seriously, if zoro'd meet shanks, shanks would have to get owned really or else the story would fuck up and kinda end i believe, since zoro is luffy's nakama :P

otherwise, i choose Shanks, because he got red hair, and hes hilarious, carefree and all :P
