Thread: Some things dont make sense

Ok lately ive been flipping throught the manga agin, and as I was reading throughout it I realized something. If the grand line only has one island at a time, and that the Holy City and the marines headqurters are on the grand line. Then doesnt that mean that Luffy has to spend time on those two WG islands? To get the magnetic flow of the islland to the next?

Also if marine ships can cross the calm zone with seastone, then why cant they get to raftel? it should be no problem to cross the zone and reach it. And dont tell me that they cant find the island due to the magnetic current, after all we all know that raftel is approximately near the end of the grand line on the other side of the mountain, and since the grand line is so thin it shouldn't be hard to find it.

Plus since seastone is undoubtedly very hard, harder than steel since Zoro couldnt cut it ,then i cant really see how the sea could destroy the marine ships if luffys crew is gonna make it to the island even with the special wood

And lastly when franky woke up he saw a ship covered in metal which confuses me because no ship ever seen is covered with metal or even has the amount of metal that was seen aboard the ship, so what sort of ship was it and where the heck was it

Considering the fact that Franky was hit off the tracks and manged to get back to water 7 then how did no one see that ship if it was so close to the tracks and people where constantly going back and forth across the tracks?

For your fist question, the grand line has 7 different tracks not only one. Read chapter 105

Yeah. There are a bunch of different paths to take upon entering the Grand Line through that one mountain thing.


My god... someone should make a map or a dictionary or whatever.. I still don't know what Raftel is.

Regarding the issue of cutting across to Rafter through the Calm belt, well, I think that'd be pointless. The marines don't know where exactly Raftel is. As a matter of fact, no one really knows exactly where it is. Since only Roger was able to get to that island. Which means, even if the marines were able to take a detour from calm belt, it wouldn't do them any good, since they'll be sailing blindly at the MOST dangerous sea in the world.

Hmm..I don't remember seeing any metal ships...? Was there such a scene where Franky saw a metal ship? I think I might have missed that...o.o

can someone pls re-explain what raftel is? I don't remember that word somehow....

yea but i think he was a little kid and to low on the totem pole to actually know where they were

he was low on the "totem pole", but he was no kid as :
- we have seen him with buggy in buggy's flashback, and they were already 20+ years old, and they were in roger crew by then
- he was with buggy in that crew until the death of roger, so he didn't quit too soon ^^"


about the original question, the grandline is not so thin, and moreover is too unpredictable to find raftel easily

and boats with metallic layers exist in real world, so why not in OP's ??

You are wrong shautieh, because acording to the manga and SBS, Shanks is 37 years old. Roger died 22 years ago. That yould mean he was 15 when they executed Roger. He looks rather young in the flashbacks, but not 15 years old, which makes me believe we will get an explanation later on, or Oda mad a miscalculation.

About the ship, wouldn't it be ironic if the ship was Oro Jackson, left to drift at sea. So that technicaly Tom saved Frankys life.
