Whats going to become of the Going Merry?

the Going Merry was prooved still alive in chapter 428. But it didn't appear fresh and new again, its patched everywhere. So, whats do you going happen to Going Merry?
-Keep on using the ship until its patched everywhere
-Going Merry would still be active, but its going to be brand new
-Say farewell and get a new ship
-Get a new ship but stick the old merry head on

Personally I quite like sheep thing, nothing an replace that, so they would keep that for sure, but the body should be made into a new ship since its not going to last.

It will either become magially fixed and never speak again until it nearly breaks again, it might bring them all back to Water 7 and sink into the ocean or it could become a new crewmember.

that's a good enough question, so let's speculate of going merry's future in here :)

i think (and hope) that going merry's carcass will break soon enough, so the SH will definitly abandon it.... BUT they will make a new ship (or use the last battle francky :D) and transfer the klabautermann from the old going merry to the new one, going merry 2.0 (aka running merry >.>)

If a devil fruit user is in water, it will sink. So that means Going Merry has not eaten one. It is currently running because of the strong feelings between the crew and itself. This will be the ship's last trip, and its final job to take them to safety. The sheep headpiece of Going Merry will most likely go on their new ship.
