I want, nay, DEMAND Psycho Luffy.
He has a devil in him, just like any other DF user. And we all know what happened when Chopper pushed his DF too far. Luffy and all DF users should run this risk too.
It is, at the very least possible. Don't you think?

Chopper distorted te wavelength of his DF with medicine, which is different from "pushing himself to extreme limits." Take Gear 3, for example. No matter how hard Luffy wills for his arm to grow to that size, it won't grow without him pumping air into it. Luffy cannnot exert himself to the point of gaining intelligence.

I've heard alot about the new Gear 3, I just read chapter 421 though. Yeah, it's a pretty impressive move, I thought it was cool.

At this moment in time I think Luffy has no more gears apart from 2 and 3 but a gear 4 could mean increasing the flow of oxygen in his muscles and sacrificing speed for strength?

err why gear 3 that been show in chapter 403 make luffy body turn small?

I think the whole Gears thing is getting a little gimmicky personally... 3 power-ups for the same character in the same number of battles? What's going to happen at the end of the series? Gear 9?

Well, maybe for his next powerup he'll develop vulcanized rubber, and be able to harden his body that way. All he'd need was a bit of sulfur...

mybe we should think more logic basic with rubber....

sorry skymo, but ist been a few years since the anime came out with how its pronounced, you must get over your use of "R".

...or rather then a gear four, he tries to learn the 6 combat art and uses those. think about it that would make him more formidable to aokiji and stronger w/o the whole adding a new gear each arc.

People will always, for some reason, use literal translations, such as "Ruffy" for Luffy and "Raito" for Light. Hell, official canon state the names of such characters, but that don't stop some people.
