Thread: Devil Fruit Types.

Before I begin, I feel I ought point something out; I realize alot of what I hope to discuss here will just be speculation, possibly spilling over into fan-fiction, but I still want to discuss this. And I also checked through the search option and found no topic matches, so I don't think this thread is redundant.

I ask you all this: would it be nice to have another DF type?

The curent ones being Paramecia(Superhuman), Zoan(Animal) and Logia(Nature). Would it be too difficult to introduce another type? Or could any other DF just as easily be filed under Paramecia type and the current types be left alone?

I mainly want to know your opinions and also hear(read) your personal ideas for Devil Fruit. Though please, don't spam little posts of: "the asz kick fruit it kics all oder aszs". Try and put a little though into it.
Here's an idea I had: The Legendary(Myth) Type. It would also be vauge in its defenitions, like Paramecia. An example: The Legion Legion fruit. The one who eats it is Legion! Kinda' like the demon, but mainly the fruit allows one to make an army out of one's self. So yeah, essentialy clones(copies) of one's self, but I still like the idea. I have a few more ideas, but I would like to get other's ideas as well.

The current-standing Devil Fruit titles are vague generalizations, which is why it would be difficult to employ others. A LegionLegion Fruit, for example, would be classified under Paramecia, since it simply alters the body's [and mind's] properties.

I know what you're trying to go for, but I can't really think of a category that wouldn't already fall under an existing one.

Like Noro Noro fruit? That's paramecia.

I wonder if Oda not introduces a new class of DF, but a fruit of a different nature altogether, like Angel fruits, which cures DF curses and gives superpowers to pure-hearted good people. Impure hearts don't get anything except curse-lifting. Evil hearts explode on the spot.

Just subclass the paramecia fruit into internal and external effect types. In other words, GomuGomu, KiloKilo, etc. would be internal, as their effects are within the body itself, whereas NoroNoro and the Soap fruit, for example, would be external, as the effects apply outside the body.

Wasnt there an another class of df, Elemental fruit?

Actually, that's not a bad idea at all.

Even though it doesn't relate to Kanuki's original idea.

Maybe there will be ultima type of DF where the user have all of the ability of DF.. i think there is in the one piece that left by Gol D Roger.. hehehe

And Anti-DF Df where the user do not get any damage from battle with any of the DF user...

Another Fruit that I thought up: The Yin Yang Fruit. It must be eaten by two people and those two will most likely become mortal enemies, but both will be able to draw upon the respective energies their half of fruit represents, as well as the respective knowledge. I also don't know if this could technicaly be put under Paramecia.

I also want to throw out this idea: Do you think DF are the reason the "Unkown Country" was rallied against and destroyed? I think this because, what could be more fearsome than the ancient Weapons? I mean, several people know about them, yet the Goverment isn't hunting them down. DF users with more than one fruit? Already trained and sent in to fight battles? It would be like CP9 squared, a powerful, quick moving threat. Wouldn't that be worse than an uber-battleship?
Or maybe that country learned how to grow DF? Probably not, but that would be interesting. Maybe I should have also made this an "Unknown Country" thread too.

Another DF type might be a bit too drastic, I think it should really just stay as it is and Oda can introduce more people with interesting , unique fruits.
