Well, your ideas may somewhat be a little realistic, but let's face the facts, they are not cool. No one wants to see a devil fruit user who's only ability is to grow old. The DF-object transfussion has not been explained yet, but sooner or later may be explained. As for why no one gets a negative effect from DF's, it's because they already have one, the inability to swim. It's basically a balance, you become strong and at the same time become a hammer. And DF users have so many weaknesses. As for the anti-DF, that's what seastones are for.

Well...we really don't know what other things besides seastones that can counteract the DF.

I didn't say the age fruit type gives the user the ability to grow old. It is just a special type of fruit that only deliver a one shot deal effect: add or subtract from you life span. For example, you take a bite of this fruit and you get an extra year add to your life span; however, you wouldn't look any older nor will you gain the ability to control your age.

As for the "boogie" type fruit, it could be the result of a mutated DF or a bad DF.

God that must suck for the poor bastard who would eat that fruit. Even if there are those kind of fruits, we'd never get to see them, because they'd either be dead or trying to live normally, since they're rather useless anyway.

About the plant DF, I said CONTROL, not being able to become a plant, or even make them.
Jesus, you all misinterpret things in this thread.

Devil Fruits don't give you control of any outside objects but instead change what your body is made of. If you eat a Giraffe fruit you become a Giraffe, if you eat a rubber fruit you become rubber, if you eat the seperate fruit you can seperate your body, and if you eat a fire fruit you become fire. None of these let you control girrafes/rubber/fire/separate things outside of your own body.
The only exceptions seem to be Foxxy and the painting girl. It very easily could be that both of them have powers that work just like number 3's. Number three seems to generate wax from parts of his body but can't change it entirely.

well then, how can you explain smoker's "control" of smoke? the animal type, superhuman type and elemental type DF belongs to different fruit category so you cant just say "None of these let you control girrafes/rubber/fire/separate things outside of your own body".

Mushi mushi fruit could work definitely. I don't like the idea of anti-DF that much. DF's are rare as they are, and how would you develop anti-DF powers?

Anyway if a DF malfunctions, that would be interesting, but there's the thing about DFs containing devil spirits, so there wouldn't be any way for DFs to malfunction.

Anyway, if there was a DF that only controls plants, it would be inferior to Hana Hana fruit. If the eater becomes a plant, that'll be interesting, and it wouldn't be overpowering if only the eater can become a plant. I'm not sure what class it should be in though. Zoan works because plants are living beings, paramecia works because it's solid and not immune to physical attacks, Logia probably doesn't work, because it doesn't turn into a fluid or unstructured composition.
