Thread: Devil Fruit Types.

Yeah, there is not really no need for another category of Devil Fruits. With just the 3 types, there can be a wealth of various abilities. I want to see either a wind or mercury Devil Fruit user. ^^

That would be lame. Hell, I already think the Logia Fruits are boring and overpowered, let alone a Fruit that has every DF ability.

i wont bash him since this IS kind of a legitimate thread and he explained his point and reasoning coherently... but as the serious son of a bitch that i am ... 420 chapters into a manga is way too late for new things to be introduced on that scale. however i would like to see a Wood typed Logia fruit or a water based one, i cant think of a new type of fruit since Nature, Animal, Superhuman basically cover all imaginable types of powers

I doubt Water would be a useable Fruit, as the entire point of the Fruits is that, once you eat them, the ocean no longer accepts you. The ocean of One Piece is the largest source of water on the planet, so it seems hypocritical for there to be a Mizu Mizu Fruit.

well genius there is water underground and this nice little thing God made called a lake. DF users are only vulnerable to salt water and i think an experienced and powerful Water user could work around the ocean thing and STILL use it to his advantage.

That's incorrect. Oda mentions in an SBS that the "sea" includes all bodies of water that the DF users can be submerged in. That includes bathwater, freshwater lakes, ponds, and oases, rivers, streams, brooks, etc. DF users, however, are uneffected by falling water, or water spouts; any form of liquid water that doesn't have a solid base, since a sea needs a solid container.

That was actually only "liquid" type. All non-canon DFs are basically rejects from Oda's plans for the story.

There needs to be a wood logia and a metal logia. I'm still waiting for the volcano logia as well And while were talking about elemental logias, let's put a pentaelemental logia in there too And if a logia user joins, it definitely must be the wind logia, because the wind represents freedom, the aspect of life most valued by pirates.

Goro-Goro DF(Lightning) Weakness is Gomu-gomu DF(Rubber)
So..
Mera-Mera DF(fire) Weakness is Supa-Supa DF(Iron)

Yes, if anything, I excel at coherency. Coherent thoughts flock unto me, like zombies unto a shopping mall.

But, back on topic,
Since the topic has been brought up, what do you think the weaknesses for the current Logia users are? Excluding Sir Crocodile and Eneru, there is Smoker, Ace, and Ao Kiji that the Strawhats may have to contend with. I suppose heat would be the obvious answer for Ao Kiji, but the others baffle me.

Yeah there's already a create your own DF thread. But anyway...

Fire's weakness is definitely not Iron! It's the other way around. The most conductive of metals melt easily in fire, and probably gets oxidized. If not melted, at least they recieve some heat damage from conducting the heat. Iron on the other hand, can't do anything to fire except help it spread. Fire's most logical weakness is water, since water dowses fire.
Don't confuse ice power with water power, however. Aokiji will be disadvantaged against Ace if he fights him because he is ice, which means he freezes things. He doesn't control water.
