Thread: Original One Piece Edits, Censors and Changes.

This thread is NOT about the 4kids rape (seriously, it was raped) of One Piece, but of censoring and such that was done in Japan. Just to get your opinions and a counting of instances that you've seen. I'll start off. In the Manga Zeff eats his leg to survive and save Sanji. In the anime he sacrifices it to get to Sanji, but he dosn't eat it. I also think they were on that rock for a lesser amount of time.

I hate it when they do such things. They shouldn't rape One Piece!! =_="

I should restate, I'm talking about the subbed, un-cut japanese version, not the obscene 4kids version.

Exe: on Sanji's case, Zeff effort to get sanji becomes less dramatic...

wait what it becomes less dramatic? how, his leg is squeezed off while trying to save sanji thats more dramatic

I think it is much more dramatic if you must chop off and eat your leg to survive and to let someone survive than loose your leg in an accident.

Also in the anime never been shown how Luffy got his scar. It was censored by fearness of children's imitating... That the kids would do the same... just like Luffy.

yea i didnt like that one cause now anime only people are like how could luffy get a scar? but it was self inflicted

Another example is all the edits and changes to the Foxy mini-ark. Like how the horse was supposed to be shot and how they were suppose to meet Ao Kiji on that same island.

It seems the choice for not changing a thing is pretty popular, but I slightly disagree. I don't mind if they add a small arc, or if charecters stay around a little longer. I mainly think it's good to embelish certain scenes even more. Like the final fight with Crocodile or to get a specific charecters opinions clarafied.
