ANYWAYZ.....Tashigi likes zoro. Why else would she get mad at him turning out to be a bounty hunter? She first met him, and they talked a bit about how guys like zoro (she didn't know him well that time, she didnt know he was zoro in teh flesh) and how they use the sword for selfish goals, when they should be used for justice. I bet she thought he was a great guy, but then she finds out that he is, in fact, zoro! Anywho, she gets all mad at him like a wife would get mad at her husband if he did something she doesn't approve of mirite? So yeah, Tashigi has admiration for zoro, and respects him as a swordsman, I'm fairly sure.
As for Kuina, NO SHE ISN'T DEAD. Alas, I have no evidence to support this statement, but I really can't see Oda (who hates killing off characters) kill off a good character directly tied to luffy's very first pirate crew mate, and how? By falling down the stairs? No. I just can't see that happening. And the fact that someone like Tashigi exists makes the whole thing seem even more fishy and suspicious. To just give a random theory, what if Tashigi was actually kuina AFTER she fell down the stairs? You see, maybe she lost ALL her memories (AND SWORD SKILLS, NOTE), and re-studied them with an inferior teacher. How she came to get into a situation like that after getting burried, Oda has yet to explain. But hey, I find this crazy arse theory easier to believe than "she fell down the stairs....AND DIED D:". Which is stupid. Agree?
When you say like, did you really mean love? She may have liked Zoro, but I don't think she loves Zoro ... or at least not at the moment. They may have the potential to develop something (though it's hard to think that One Piece will have sappy romance) later on as the series continues, but not right now. She definately admired and respected Zoro, but she may not have liked/loved him.Originally Posted by Miles Edgeworth
I think Kuina is dead. It would be totally retarded if she was not because they clearly stated she died and held a funeral for her. If she didn't die, then why wouldn't Zoro's master (and her father) not tell Zoro? It would not make any sense if she was still alive. Although it is hard to believe that a skilled swordswoman would die from a set of stairs.
^nah she doesn't actually love him or anything like that, it's just that I felt that she liked (admired at least) him when they first met. Actually, if she didn't find out he was zoro (or if zoro was just a regular swordsman, not pirate or pirate hunter), she may have actually fallen in love with him, MAYBE. But that kinda stuff doesn't happen in OP (which imo is a good thing).
I'm not saying I think Tashigi is Kuina, I just think it's a possibility (more possible than death by stairs fall at least, imo). But One Piece, the way I see it, isn't so realistic where people fall down the stairs and die. I mean, that happens alot in real life no doubt, even the greatest man can fall down the stairs and die (G.W Bush almost did lmao), but I feel it's just not likely in One Piece. The manga is not that realistic, and people there survive suicide bombings (where they are the suicide bombers ;;>_>) in there, so I'm pretty sure surviving a fall down the stairs is no biggie.
Sure Zoro made a promise to Kuina, but the way he is, I'm fairly certain he would have aspired to be No.1 swordsman. So I don't really think it'd make his dream lame or anything. Actually, if he finds she is alive, maybe they can compete all over again, which would probably be interesting/fun to see.
All in all, I'd say the whole thing about Kuina being dead is shady at best.
Or maybe we could learn Tashigi is Kuina, how and why it happened and yet nobody in the story ever knows. Like the Norland backstory. But then it might either be really moving/kick-ass or just really, really frustrating.
