what good would it do him anyway it's not like he need's to build a rep for himself, he's already known as the "One-Armed Pirate" what more could he need

He could be a genius that's able to out perform everyone with his charismatic power. That's probably what makes Shanks special and powerful, and that's how he became famous with many followers.

know really knows shaks fighting ability, we dont even know wether hes a swordsmen or a brawler its all a mistery maybe even a gunmen.

Shanks was able to scare away a monster just by looking at it, even though it already ate his arm. His force of personality is quite powerful. He can fight just by that.

I think if Shank is to eat a Devil Fruit, it should be Robin's.

Nah, that would work best with Zoro. His new ustimate technique would include wielding 30 swords at the same time.

But yeah, Shank would benefit from that, except for he wouldn't be called the "One-Armed Pirate" anymore.

I think shanks' ability (non DF) should be the power to say something so random and stupid that it causes everyone within ear shot to have a cerebral meltdown and become paralized.

No, Luffy already has that power, he can't eat 2 DF's you say? I say, he has "main character armor"
