No. I dont believe it works that way. The child has to eat one themself.

Yes, a person to have devilfruit powers he has to eat the fruit itself. That's why they are unique, so you won't see the same devilfruit powers around...
OMG! he forgot his lines ! ><

Just curious, whether Oda tries to extend the powers of the devil fruit further down the line. If it is possible, will that bastard child be able to have both the powers of 2 devil fruit user parents? Something this unusual would need to be explain because if we see a possible DF user having a child it raises certain question.

If it does happen, Oda sensei will have a mine field day explaining such phenomenon.

good idea but i doubt it df's have been around since begiining of known history so parents have most likely mated i think its more of a mutation that occurs due to exposure and wont be expressed in genes

look at darwins theory of natural selection
its like giraffes who stretching their neck to get fruits and saying thats y they have long neks
forget that im confusing myself but i think that will neva happen

Oda must be quite crazy to come up with some of the stuff he does, but then a crazy idea to some people is a great idea to others.

And ao kiji maybe more experienced, but necessarily stronger? i'm not too sure about that. He accidently killed like 20 people when he released some of his electricty.

Of course ao kiji is going to be portrayed as a really strong character because he's a marine admiral, and a bad guy ("bad" guy) who will fight much later on, so luffy must progress to be much stronger in order to beat him.

All i'm saying is that in terms of fruits, I'd say eneru's was a stronger fruit.
Hmm... I never knew Aokiji uses electricity I'd say your arguement against Aokiji's experience failed.

And mutations fit perfectly, mermen are basically mutant humans. Dunno what giants are...

it's possible for merman to eat DF, after all they can live in land and underwater, the disadvantage is of course once they eat it they can't go back home....so its a 50/50 possibilities,
giants with DF?? i really like to see that, i dont think there's a problem with that, if a sword or a gun can eat DF why not giants??? i reckon he'll be really damn powerfull.

I was wondering if certain devil fruits show up every so often. Like what if every 1000 years, there's a snake snake fruit model Leviathan, causing the person who eats it to become a giant sea serpant that can control the seas. Unlike other dfs, this one model is a permanent transformation and is immune to the sea and water.

Mermaids are legendry, and the mermen are the obvious male equivalent. What im saying is that obviously DNA and mutations aren't going to apply in the same way to the one piece universe as they do in our universe.
Well, we wouldn't need to worry about mutations being boring.

It seems that there are 2 kinds of mer-people: fish people with feet, and the humans with fish tails. I recalled that from Hacchi's takoyaki adventure.

    I have a few questions concerning DF's,

1.If Eneru controlled Lightning why could they still Dodge
    lightning=fast
would it mean he would have to control Amperage as well as voltage?

2.slip slip fruit- what exactly DOES it do?

    3.concerning the Arlong/Luffy fight
when he was underwater, his ability was supposed to be stopped, then why could they still stretch his neck, or is it that the user woun't be able to conciously use his ability?

    4. Is it possible to have 2 DF existing at the same time, i mean they're fruit right? therefor they grow on trees ext. and possible to have more than one fruit.

    1. Eneru seems to only use the same amperage over and over. I guess it's because Oda didn't think about amperage affecting electrical power.

    2. The sube sube (smooth smooth) fruit makes the user's body slippery. It diverts all normal and frictional force in different directions so she isn't affected by physical force.

    3. Luffy could still stretch underwater. He just can't move, so someone else has to stretch him.

    4. We don't know where DFs come from or how they're produced. We also don't know how the power is transferred. They're mystery fruits.
