Thread: Most Touching Moment(s)?

for me the most touching moment in OP is when nami is crying after he found out that arlong just manipulate her, luffy came and give her the hat.
After that luffy call out his crew and they answer "yes,captain" in cool pose.
Gosh that was the best part in One Piece.

yeah, nami, robin and chopper pasts had me trying hard 2 keep back tears(i usually don get sad easily when reading manga), the part where pell took the bomb off and flew off was touching 2 and some other part that i cant recalled

nami's past is normal for me, most of the crew have a sad past. but i do agree the robin and chopper part. both were somehow an "outcast" during young age, and when someone comes to accept them, these "someone" just die off immediately, making their past even more pitiful

and yeah, about pell, tht part was touching too. i cant feel anything until the part where pell said something like "i'm the falcon which protects the sand country". but i guessed he wouldnt die, since death is rare in one piece world, for me

the most touching moments? oh, the brokeback mountain thingy between luffy and zorro.... search the forum, u'll find some images. cool.

To me One Piece is quite infused with emotion.
I think it depends on how much you immerse yourself into the characters. I read One Piece mainly for the story and the action comes second. I enjoy Oda's story telling ability and the way he's able to bring the plot together, although I wish he'd start tying up many of the overarching points.

These are moments that got me a little choked up:

-Sanji leaving Baratie
-Nami stabbing herself and Luffy's resolve
-Chopper poisoning Dr. Hiruruku
-Robin's mom embracing her in the flames

Those are the main ones that got to me, and that's considering the whole situation that surrounds those moments. There are many other touching scenes in the manga for me as well.

robin's past is by far the most touching for me, especially when the giant is about to be frozen shouting; "find your nakamas, they are out there waiting for you!!" something like that..^_^

True, One Piece is definitely full of emotion.

My favourite is still Pell's sacrifice for his country... Touching indeed.

Is there anyone else who wants Ussop to have a moment where he is determined to do something? A time where his resolve is very strong? That would be interesting indeed...

I'd say Usopp leaving the party was the saddest part, but, it was still cool.

And Chopper seems to have the saddest past, tho all the pasts of the characters are pretty much the same type of sad where some loved one dies or something. But chopper was made in a way that makes it seem more sad. Clever eh?

They will probably call there new ship the Going Merry II or something and I agree that Pell coming back was pointless, like he didn't really sacrifice himself at all which at the time seemed noble.
