horribly dubbed. Yes that is one way of putting it. I think the enitre Arlong arc is extremly moving. I also like when Luffy is being Luffy and inviting Chopper to join them "Shut up. Let's go!!"
Another point is when Luffy forces Viv to realize that just risking her own life won't change anything, and to risk his and the others lives is also very moving.
BUt so far, i agree that the most moving would be Robin's tear filled "I wanna live!! Take me with you to the blue seas!!"
The dub reached Skypiea? USOTSUKE!!!
Well, sometimes the anime expresses great moments better than the manga, take Mr. 3 Bon Clay's farewell sacrifice in the Alabasta arc. Or Sogeking's theme song!
Yes, I actually meant wouldn't, though you already knew that. Thanks for the correction anyway.

your recaps almost got me choked up.
i really liked onepiece, one minute im laughing the next minute im holding back tears.
but you mentioned that you didnt like luffy's past?!?
thats the moment that made me like onepiece. when it zooms out to shanks arm, that was a defining moment in luffy's life, and changed his character to what it is now. Also made shanks my favorite character.
(ps. there were 2 translations for the part where mihawk goes to see shanks and show him the wanted poster. the one in the manga said something along the lines of "i dont want to fight the man with 1 arm anymore" implyign that mihawk just couldnt beat him. And the english dub(yeah i know...) implied that mihawk was more powerful and it wouldnt waste his time to fight him.
which is correct?)
dubs just sucks. u should know if u watch the anime. sanji-jeff, luffy's scar, etc........................ the original story is the manga. and if original is correct to u, then stick to the manga.
My touching moments in the manga r
1. When luffy fighting the shark man, he said that he can't lie, can't use sword, and can't navigating. But he can beat the crap out of his ass.
2. When luffy bash the spring legged man with one hit, and all people there look at him with horror.
3. When the giant bell in skypie ring, and that old diver hear it.
4. When Luffy just yell to chopper asking him to join them.
So who's said that One piece doesn't have touching moment.. if u don't feel any touching moment than either u r fucking pscyhopat abused by ur mother, or u're to bloody retard to feel any emotions.
AHH one piece has GOT to be the most touching manga ever. lost of crying moments :'(
-when it shows nami's past and the mum's about to be shot (oh god i was crying my eyes out)
-when it showed choppers past and he was rejected by the doctor and tried injuring himself to let the doctor take him in
-when pell sacrificed himself and died
and probably other parts- but i can't remember right now.
