Thread: Oda messed up

well, in the last chapter, i think its 407, oda shows califa taking a bath and nami says something about her losing all her power.

First of all, im pretty sure she didnt bath in salt water

Second, Luffy didn't lose his powers when drinking that fresh water to fight crocodile (i mean he was drenched in water in one part) and didn't lose his powers

Until now, it was held constant that seawater's element makes DF users weak

On the other hand, now its saying that any kind of water makes a DF user weak

That means that DF users will lose their power when drinking water, taking baths, when it rains... its messed up

Yeah, I noticed that too. Continuity error.

That's what SBS is for. So feedback will show what Oda does wrong. Then he'll either say he's wrong or make up a plot device. He's still the best, even though.

I was thinking
maybe the only two things that would affect a character is
1> being submerged under water (people dont say that DF users are weak to water... they say that u can't swim)
2> seastone cuffs n bars

probly only sea water affects DF users.

I hate to sound like an otaku but things like that piss me off.

yeah, i havent read the accualy chapter yet, but cant it just be so that nami made a mistake?

I haven't read it yet, but r u sure she's not just messing with her mind?? nami will need to do anything to beat a 6 form user. in any case, let's just wait for the proper scanlation/translation

I read the chapter just now an i say nami was probobly just wrong, shes not an expert with DF to much about it.

I was always under the impression that being surrounded by salt was what stopped their powers from working. Thats why they have special handcuffs and jail cells made out of salt, and they can't swim in saltwater. So I don't think freshwater is a problem plus the strawhats do have a shower on their boat after all.
