Thread: n00b question-The turtle

I haven't read the manga (please don't flame), but in one of the eps., near the begining, where Saske gets his butt whupped by Rock Lee, there is a turtle that shows up to stop Lee before he unleashes the Lotus.

I've talked to my freind that has seen up to ep 100, and he said that it was never explained. I was wondering whether the manga or mabe later episodes, was that ever explained?

It kinda bugged me and since it was never expained up to ep. 50, if it was going to be expained at all.

I thought the Turtle was Gai using Henge-no-jutsu.

I actually wondered about the turtle, too. The best explanation I came up with was that it might be a summons like Kakashi's dogs...but we haven't seen it since. And why would it be there in the first place, then?

a spoof on teenage mutant ninja turtle but in naruto, its just a ninja turtle, no teenage, no mutant.

thats right it is gai summon

they probably havent shown it again cause it was dumb

Cause kakashis dogs kick more ass than gais turtle
I mean come on gai could have an cooler animal than a turlte or at least make it green

Most likely it's a summon. Did the manga/anime ever say that Gai couldn't use nin/genjutsu?

Gai's just better at Taijutsu. It never says he can't use the others.

maybe rock lee now can use that turtle too

not neccessarly. Didnt kakshi summon his dogs against zabuza using a scroll?
