Thread: Naruto,USA...not so bad Q('.'Q)

Ive Kept my eye on the American Version of Naruto and at first I did have my irks about it but after seeing the horrid trash ridden Translation that is One Piece (Darn you 4Kids Burn in heck!!!!) But I must say im Very VERY very impressed with the Naruto Dub.

Now that we're past that silly water village arc we get to the meat of the story with Rock Lee and all the other Leaf Ninja, and its turning out nice. The voices of the Sand ninja are very appropriate I kinda will wait on Garra's though I wanna see if he can get the Emotion of being utterly Warped and pissed at the world across when Garra really gets POed.

If they have a good voice on my Fav character Jiraya and dont censor much of the semi R rated crap he and Naruto go through it will get a Very good passing grade....now on to my plan to destroy 4Kids' home headquarters.........muahahahahaa

it's not so bad in terms of accruacy and some voices are actually tolerable along with the censorship, but others makes me want frickin' shoot them especially naruto's and how they pronounce his name.

4kids is just terrible with animes: they censorship deaths when we know they died, they get bruised when we know they got stabbed, and no japanese calligraphy and references. they should burn in heck.

Finally senseable people. It's not bad they tried as much to keep it good which I give them my respect unlike OP. The voices are good. Except Naruto with that believe me crap. I just want someone to shut him up while saying that. And a little of Rock Lee's. He sounds to serious somewhat. But it's still good.

the dub is okay.. except for the "Believe it catch phrase"

See thats the point of "Believe it" Imagine you speak Japanese and you have this moron who keeps spouting a nonsensical word "Dattebayo"" that has no meaning in Japanese and he says that a whole lot more than The US Naruto says Believe It!! Its meant to be that quirk about Naruto and its working cos it is annoyin but Ive gotten used to it now. You gotta realize once your used to something when it changes it takes a while to set in.

Also They have been trying to improve on Narootoe i mean Naruto's name. Most names are pronouced rather well, and I also agree that Rock Lees voice is a lil serious but think about Sanjis voice in OP ( Dear Lord in Heaven SMITE 4KIDS!!!!!!!!! ) They took one of my favorute characters and DESTROYED him !!

Most of the voices are good.....

But the way they screwed up Naruto and their "Believe It" crap.....

Many of the voices doesn't seem to fit in this dub, but it is none-the-less good.

Rock Lee - Too serious. What happened to having an asian person play him?

Neji - In the short words that he spoke, I felt like he didn't seem to connect.

Naruto - Is he a grandmother? He sounds like one, believe it.

Kankuro - Not MEAN ENOUGH! Yell or something.

The rest is fine.

If I have to hear "believe it" throughout the rest of the show I'm gonna by a muffler just for him.

the VA for naruto is an old woman (meaning she looked old )

She played an Irish Pig in the show "Jakers! The Adventures of Piggley" Winks........
That's why i always imagine Naruto shouting "They're after me Lucky Charms!!!!"
