I'm no expert in Japanese but dattebayo roughly translates to "ya know" but I still think it sounds better than "believe it".

i was impressed with kakashis voice actor hes doing an excellent job. Sasukes is ok but the real test on his comes when itachi sees him again. Sakuras couldve been better.Narutos voice could be worse imagine a jimmy neutron voice coming out of him or worse cosmo voice from fairly odd parents.

No, the Naruto USA suck. One explination need: *edit.
for example if a movie comes out in DVD in two versions, uncut or edited. which one will you buy? of course the uncut version. when watching naruto usa is like watching a train wreck, the animation is really slow, the voice actors suck, they don't get into the character. they should of at least employ actors with talent. check out dub in animes like princess mononoke, porco rosso the english dub is perfect. Even Ghost in the shell's dub is good and also other animes like Cowboy beebop. But when you got companies trying to lower cost on dubbing for more profit, that's what happens. Because for an anime as popular and as international as Naruto they should of at least get some quality english voice actors. And the crucial point I think they should of kept the Jutsus'name in Japanese just like they are and they while sayin let's say for example Kage Bushin they should put the Jutsu's english name in sub. This is again the stupidity of Japanese people for not trying to keep some credibility to their product when signing the syndication contract with american companies.

English version is just wierd. and 2 many cut scene making it feels like WTF????

japanese. i think the dub is too corny. its just sooo gay. no blood, no sexy no jutsu, no cursing, no actual bloody wounds.

And on top of all that, they translated the jutsu names so thats its "Shadow Clone Jutsu" instead of kage bushin no jutsu

Ive seen no one bring up a good point yet! I do agree about the Rock Lee comment I thought at least they'd get an asian VA but to say the animation is slow? Its the SAME FRICKIN THING! Save they dont do spewing blood but at I was surprised at the blood that was kept in. I agree about the Jutsu thing to a degree, I find it retarded for them to say "Shadow Clone Jutsu" Or "Fireball Jutsu" why not just condense it to like "Shadow Clone" And the changing of jutsu names (namely Chidori) is kinda urg but dide think about it WE dont mind reading subtitles but i run into that issue with my fam whenever we watch a movie that has Subs i have to read them So keeping them in Japanese wouldnt appeal to the Overall masses which is how they wil lget it popular over here.

Sometimes i think that subber try so hard to be "pure" that they dont translate words that need to be translated essentially there is a balance to be found.

But any anime that gets Licensed most of you wont like it because Anime Fans are trained from birth to hate the Dub, Now Groubps like 4Kids are the culprits for this but cmon ppl They are getting better and they are at least trying to do it for the fans ( they say Sensei which is sooooo much better than them goin "Teacher" all the time )

Oh and PS Dattebayo has no meaning even it it did mean "ya kno" thats pretty annoying to say that a lot since we arent native speakers of Japanese it wont bother us because to the unlearned ear it wont make a big Diff but ti a native speaker thats gotta be annoyin.

like i said , they don't have to get asian voice actors but some good voice actors with talent will do. This company is cheap. Japanese people are stupid and money hungry for leting their naruto franchise get like that, who cares if it will be syndicated internationally, at least put some conditions in the contract so that the anime won't be damaged and since Naruto is a really popular anime, why not lay your own terms?? These voice actors suck, they don't get into the character before laying their voice down, as voice actors, it is required to get into a animated charactor before laying your voice. A couple of thousands dollars more, who cares? they will make millions of it.
