Well this was... mixed. I basically knew that Sasuke was going to have a change of heart because frankly the whole thing would suck otherwise, but he's been a shallow, self-centred, narrow-minded, unreasonable asshole for so long now that it's practically out of character for him. At least the argument made some sense, even if it WAS the just the same argument (ninja sacrifice for the good of the village) that should have been obvious all along- he should have worked this out when OBITO explained Itachi's sacrifice to him.
Bringing Karin back like this was... well, there goes the character again. Seriously, last time we saw her I was actually really impressed, I was thinking "cool, she's over Sasuke, she's going to be a wild card now". But no, that was all thrown away because she can't get over Sasuke (even though, I have to point out again, there's really nothing very appealing about him) reducing Karin once again to the position of "worst female character in all of Naruto". Christ on toast, that was bad...
Finally, the image of the 4 Kages standing on their respective statue heads was awesome, but I can't imagine how this is going to work out. If the Ninja Alliance can't defeat Madara and Obito WITHOUT their help then it kind of undercuts the real heroes of the story. Even worse, it makes the resolution of the series "Orochimaru saves the world". His reasoning for agreeing to support Sasuke was also REALLY dumb considering that he was originally built up as arguably Konoha's greatest enemy (before the reveal that it was the goddamn Uchihas behind Akatsuki all along). Besides, for the 4 Kages, Orochimaru and Sasuke to NOT make the final battle really trivial, Madara and Obito are going to have to get some kind of INSANE power-up, which will probably test my tolerance for stupid bullshit to its limits.
Either way, just glad to see the series GETTING ON WITH IT!
Let's get this freak show on the road!
There seem to be a lot of Uzumaki people everywhere.
I would love to see someone bite Karin's head off.
I was thinking that Karin would have some sort of role to play with Naruto, them both being the only known living Uzumakis (as far as we know). But nope, just another mindless part of the Sasuke entourage.
Seriously, his response was 'Sorry, Karin.' THAT'S ALL, and suddenly she's cumming just from looking at him again. Well, in before we find out Karin and Naruto are cousins and that SasukexKarin is meant to throw a bone to the NarutoxSasuke fangirls.
May those who accept their fate be granted happiness; to those who defy it, glory.
bringing karin back is not a bad thing either. i still wonder what does she see in naruto the last time.
^He's not mad at Sasuke for his mundane, and rather passive, response he's more pissed at Karin for being so easily forgiving of his betrayal. You would expect anyone else to expect more of an apology after doing what he did, but instead she quickly gave in to his charm and is, yet again, apart of his band of groupies that simply worship the ground he walks on.
"He is now declaring his words to the WORLD!"
The only good thing from this is we may get to see Hinata being snubbed. I hope so because I don't like her character or the NarutoxHinata bs
Gotta say I ended this chapter smiling my ass off. Yeah Karin can kick rocks and yeah it undercuts todays heroes to be saved by the old hokages, but hey maybe Kishi will throw a curve and have the kages defeated by Madara and Naruto & Sasuke team up for the final victory (with obligatory sycophantic monologues about friendship overcoming all)
I'd like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head. I hope to make the most of these hollow bones we become.
I raise a toast to the the souls that sang all along. I've been gathering friends to just to make some sounds,
before the ship goes down, I've been making amends by making the rounds before the whole world ends
