Well... that was... interesting. Gotta admit, Shinsuusenju was arguably the most awesome technique seen in the series thus far.
But seriously, get on with it.
So basically this whole flashback is going to prove that Naruto is the best out of all of them, cause the first hokage was friends with an Uchiha and he couldn't save him and he ended up becoming the most crazy strong bad buy of the time, and then Kakashi was friends with an Uchiha and he couldn't save Obito either, but since Naruto will eventually be able to save Sasuke he tops all of them etc. etc.
I'm actually enjoying these background chapters. Better than seeing Sasuke's mug again :D
And damn, dat transformation. You see how huge that Buddha was?!

The technique somehow reminded me of the old boss' last fight in Hunter x Hunter.
