the only thing that is good about this chapter is that neji die.. i'm not saying that i've been wanting neji to die. i'm just saying that compare to anything else that happen in this chapter, him dying is better...

sasuke shows up... madara went inside sasuke (somehow) and started to kill anyone
...before that happen sasuke gives his last word to naruto: "kill me" with a smile..
naruto kill sasuke.. obito see this (the same scene with kakashi and rin)
obito realize what happen and with godly jutsu resurrect everyone by sacrificing himself....
at the end we see orochimaru big grind...

I haven't been in here in a while but i'm pissed that Neji had to die just so that shy bitch could live, hate on me all you want but I got tired of Hinata a long ass time ago, and for a character like Neji that was a weak death i mean shit even his almost death against Kidomaru was better then that shit. Didn't expect this, but Kishi wouldn't let Hinata die (for real this time :D). Although it is really sad, I do hope they won't get revived at the end, but I sure expect it somewhat :D

Obito reminded me of Sasuke when he gave Madara that "I was never an ally to your cause" line. Sounds like something sasuke would say to Orochimaru... all the while taking his tutelage.
Eh, well unless Kishimoto has suddenly found new reserves of ruthlessness deep within himself, I guess this basically reconfirms that everyone who died is going to be revived at the end of this. Shikaku and Inoichi I could believe he'd kill of because frankly, who gives a fuck about them? But Neji? Nope. Not gonna happen. Not a bad scene actually, but I'm just not willing to swallow it.
Come to think of it, I strongly suspect that the exchange between Obito and Madara in this chapter was just to remind us that "oh yeah, there's a guy here who can mass-resurrect the dead". It was a bit too obvious.
Still, once again I'd say this basically guarantees NaruHina as canon.
Very well, I think I will hate on you then. Lay off Hinata for fuck's sake. Why should you care any more about Neji than her? It was so appropriate that Neji die to save her- since he'd been so out of focus since the timeskip he'd never reallymade it up to her for trying to kill her during the Chuunin exam preliminaries. Apart from his fight against Kidomaru he'd been left as a very one-dimensional character ever since Naruto kicked his ass.Quote:

While that's a good point, when I think about it the scene actually puts a lot more emphasis on the fact that Neji is sacrificing himself to protect Naruto more than Hinata. Yes, he's protecting her too, but since he was saving her from having to sacrifice herself for Naruto (again) it was just as much about him as her. I think that's a nice touch actually, since it's easy to forget that Neji is technically Naruto's friend. Kishimoto probably intended to avoid getting up the nose of people who aren't so keen on Hinata. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have entirely worked.Quote:
