its also pretty farcical for him to say that its too late for the medical ninjas to save him, when just a few chapters ago we saw quite a few kages get the same treatment and it not be so hopeless. For instance where was Sakura the medical marvel during this scene?

We've seen an entire village die and come back to life. Too late to count Neji out, although I think it would make a better story if he was out.
I think the story would have been better if Hinata was the one that went out instead. Such terrible writing. He's really gonna force this love thing between Naruto and Hinata. I'm sorry but love doesn't just develop like that.
Watch they will flash forward at the end of the series where Naruto and Hinata has a kid who is a genius, to "non" geni have a genuis kid.Quote:

One BIG problem with that, which you seem to have forgotten- Hinata has ALREADY sacrificed herself to save Naruto before. That's a card you can only play once. Sure, she can show herself to be willing to sacrifice herself for him again, as she did here, but actually going through with it would have practically NO dramatic weight whatsoever.Quote:

Lets be perfectly honest here, besides Shikamaru, Hinata (love interest and already died once, technically) and Sakura wtf has any of the other Kids done lately to warrant them in-disposable? Ok now Ino and Chouji are not AS likely to be killed off because we've seen them in action more post time skip, ala Asuma's death and their stellar influence in this war, and seeing as how Ino and Shikamaru's dad's just died, and they have to protect Asuma's kid, they will live. All those pissed off at Neji's death honestly ask yourselves: "What has Neji done lately BESIDES die...and was discovered to be the first perfect White Zetsu clone?". Neji has been so pathetic post Chuunin exam and Rescue Sasuke arc, which is to no fault of his but because Kishimoto doesnt have time to waste on him, same goes for almost all the kids. Besides physical growth Kishi has not had time to focus on each of the Konoha 12's mental growth. Kiba, Tenten, Shino and Rock Lee (as much as i hate to say him) havent had much time to shine at all. As far as I care if we are not going to get to see them in action again then why bother keeping them alive when you can just have them killed off to serve as a catalyst for some major event or major character's development in the process?
I think whats even more pathetic with his death was how Kishimoto tried to build him up before he sacrificed himself. The Juubi attacked, he did his nice spinning chakra shield shit with his uncle to save a couple people, fodder ninja: "OOOOOO WOOOWWW, HYUUGA SOOO IMBA!!! AND THAT NEJI SO GEEENNIIIUUUSSSS" only to have him kill himself shortly after. Why did Kishi do that? Because he knew Neji hasnt dont anything to showcase his tremendous leap in power so he had to give us a courtesy moment to 'remind us' how much of a top shinobi he is...or was at least.
At this rate I think the next Konoha 12 to die would be Rock Lee.... in order to even give them a glimpse of hope/time to do something about this Juubi (who still has 1 more form left) Lee would have to open his final gate which would give him GODLY strength and make all the fodder go "WOOOOOOWWW" only to have him die as a result. Seems fair right? They ARE fighting the Juubi afterall.
Kishi is grasping at them straws really hard now.
