Kishi probably forgot what he Shit out years ago about Kabuto being Sasori's spy.
All we know is that Oro made first contact. If Sasori never gets mentioned in the flashback next chapter, then we can assume Kishi forgot and retconned it.
But they arenīt doing that...ROOT is only useful for Danzo as an instrument and ROOT was actually disbanded, but he still used it for "special" missions. By doing that, he took skillful ninjas from the main forces ( I know they still did missions from which Konoha "benefitted", but under the Kage they might have done it...more humane? Yeah, thatīs a paradox in itself - they are ninjas - but still...)
Yeah, they said theyīll be waiting 4 hours after the chapters are out somewhere else and then we have 24h (or more?) time to read them...
Flashback or not I dug this chapter, less for Kabuto but more for seeing Orochi and Danzou being badass Mafiosos muscling their way around and shaking down an orphanage. "You'll need to hire some security for this place.....someone could break in.", roflmao. It was tight seeing Kabuto progressing during the course of his spying ways as a kid. I wonder though, did she not remember him cause she was just acting or maybe since she was on a long term spying mission she did some kind of selective amnesia technique which erases/replaces parts of her memory that way if she's mind probed nothing would be revealed? Say what you will about ROOT but once you get to be a powerhouse Nation you need to do some shady shit outside of public view in order to keep that power. ROOT is like the CIA.
So I guess in terms of Destiny and whatnot Kabuto's was the most vulnerable at that moment where mother didnt acknowledge him then Orochi swooped in for the claim (which he executed with that rapist prowess of his, haha)?
this..
root is filled with orphan right.. how big is the possibility that sai's brother is kabuto?... what? did i take that too far? just imagine how weird it's gonna be.. at the end of this fight he got his lost memories back and sai's face shows up.
i think i started to understand kabuto a bit. the child kabuto got owned by an grumpy pedophile, the teen kabuto got owned by a man obsess with his snake, young kabuto got owned by a man obsess with his toy and want him to be one. now all of those man no longer there and he is all alone, so he start looking for sasuke. he somehow believe that he should become just like those men. he need a good role model, sadly the only one that exist in his life try to kill him and don't remember him (or at least thats how he see it)
You guys donīt get it... ANBU is already the Secret Service, ROOT only does what Danzou thinks is beneficial for Konoha. They arenīt under the direct control of the Kage and if something messy happens, heīs still the one made responsible for it. He also loses face because he couldnīt control a BlackOps organization...
But they respond to their presidents or queens, amirite? :D
Yes, but Secret Service and the CIA are 2 different things. You think the President of the U.S. fully knows and controls everything the C.I.A. does? Hell no. He'll be lucky if he knows 20% of its tasks! The Secret Service, like the ANBU, are under DIRECT control from the President (and Hokage) and their jurisdiction is more or less limited to not go beyond the general region of their leader, they are predominantly a protection agency after all. So in other words the same way the president would not send his SS guys on a mission to South America or some other country, unless he is scheduled to be there which would then inherit their presence with him abroad as well, so to would the ANBU. Think about it, everytime we've seen the ANBU operate they are either within Konoha's or not too far outside of its boarders, and off course they are the few tracking nins who go further but other than that the Branch's main focus is Konoha.
Also, yes Danzou has sole control of his organization and does things without permission, one can assume 90-95% of the time (once again I've read CIA history so I know its been the same with former CIA directors in the past, doing things regardless of the Presidents orders or even knowledge) but to say or even THINK that the Kage does not know about it is preposterous and naive. By at large the general Konoha citizens and nins, probably even up to some Jonin levels, have NO CLUE whatsoever of ROOTS existence, but obviously ANBU members and the top counsel know not only of its establishment but its dark ways. Why do you think the elders and Kages allow Danzou to live and continue his party even when they dont trust him and know he's up to no good?? Its cause they know regardless of how dirty he is he's doing the SHIT WORK that NEEDS to be done and in the event of exposure he IS the sole fall guy! We all have this fantasy that people like the 3rd, 4th and 5th are all squeaky clean guys who love doing the right thing and hate killing... but I am so sure they'd been a secret meeting or 2 with the current Kage and Danzou, more so with the 3rd cause he was closer to him, about some secret mission or intel gathering behind closed doors.
Doubt it. ROOT is the most secure organization in Konoha and its more likely that ROOT has some of its own individuals who've infiltrated other facets of the command structure like the ANBU or squads in general.
Again, if you're talking about CIA, ROOT or Mi6 the answer is "they follow their leaders loosely". The problem/good thing about these groups is that they are branches, within branches (subbranches) of bigger groups. Also just because National leaders (more so in Democratic countries) seem to have all the control that is never the case, and they are usually actually quite retarded when it comes to getting things done. Whoever the leader is, Queen President whoever, cannot micro-manage these groups so they macro-manage and "trickle-down" request but once the order gets down to the operators all that remains is an order that's probably been put through the meat grinder and distorted and an order usually with no guidelines (main one being it has to be secret and not traceable to the source).
The President could says he wants someone on the ground in Pakistan, no guidelines just "HE WANTS INTEL/someone on the inside". That gets down to the CIA so what they do? They pay off and probably threaten a Pakistani policeman who'd probably studied in the U.S. and has a parent and family members in the US, they orchestrate a car bomb or something in Islamabad then give him hints on where to find crucial pieces of evidence for the case, he reports such findings to the upper echelon, they see him as highly competent, they promote him then boom. The CIA has successfully planted a mole in that police department and all it took was a car bomb that probably killed a few innocent bi-standers. Sounds like a movie plot I know but thats exactly how things work behind closed doors. In the end did the President get what he wanted, hell yea, did he know what was done to get it, nope, is he going to ask who or what was done to get it, HELL NO! Ignorance is bliss and results are fantastic.
So bottomline: Danzou was the f**king man and even though the Elders and Kages always grimaced at the utterance of his name, they loved his ass. He was their very own Dark Knight.
P.S. For a glimpse of where I've developed my deep insight and distrust of all things "Secret" I suggest you read Tim Weiner's "Legacy of Ashes: The History of the CIA"
