What is amazing is that if Orochimaru supposedly had all this knowledge and accomplished experiments (which Kishi hadn't made up yet when Orochimaru was still alive), then why was he himself such a pathetic failure who had to switch bodies every other year? Surely he should have had Rinnegan himself if he truly had all this lore? Also, why was he so surprised to see Yamato for the first time when he supposedly had "completed" Danzo (and now Madara)?
Writing manga is a difficult job, without a doubt. Not being able to go back to edit things.
He had to switch bodies every 3 years because of the "Living Corpse Reincarnation" jutsu, the body that he switched with will break down the longer he's in it, that's why he wanted Sasuke he was supposed to a be the perfect container for him.
He was surprised to see Yamato because he thought he was dead along with the other 59 bodies which were the first experiments before Danzo and Madara.
That's the excuse yes. But with his Mengele powers, he could just as well have implanted the First's chakra into himself in order to boost his "Living Corpse Reincarnation"'s duration to indefinite. All I'm saying is that with all this supposedly world-breaking lore he has, he seems to have been able to make others more powerful than himself. And that contradicts his ambitions.
Why hasn't Kabuchimaru seen the war changing plans that Suigetsu found? Kabuto is supposed to have Orochimaru's mind and memories right? Or did he just absorb his power?
I thought he just absorbed his power. I don't think that hand he implanted onto himself also had Oro's memories.
Anyways, who's to say he didn't use Hashirama's cells for his regeneration jutsu? We know little/nothing about the jutsu's biological processes. And, if I remember correctly, he was searching for the perfect body to permanently attach himself to, which he thought was Sasuke.
Also, I still remember all the whining a couple of years ago about how Hashirama couldn't have possibly beaten an EMS Uchiha Madara. I always believed that imbalance was simply because we didn't know all that much about how Hashirama fought. But damn, now I find a hard time thinking the opposite was even remotely possible.
May those who accept their fate be granted happiness; to those who defy it, glory.
Pfft ... the Third Hokage didn't have too much problem fighting Hashirama.
(apart from dying ofc)
That fight was one of my favourites but the old man had a lot of problems fighting Hashirama (who was hardly even fighting).
Of course the old man had problems fighting the 1st...he had to fight the 2nd as well!
I am a little confused by a couple comments here. I cant remember where Orochimaru said "Sasuke's body is the perfect container for me cause it will be permanent". To my knowledge he was always gay for him because he wanted his body so he can fully use an original Uchiha's body, chakra and eyes to better aid him to complete his goal: to learn all the world's jutsu. Which made sense at the time because with a Sharingan, in a 100% Uchiha, he could very well do so! He was gay the same way for Itachi at first but since Itachi was more mature he couldnt rape him....but he was confident in his ability to rape the younger sasuke, whom he underestimated. I never knew he found a way, or sasuke was THAT special, to bypass his "3 year per body" rule?
"He is now declaring his words to the WORLD!"
At this point, I don't believe Orochimaru's goal was to learn every jutsu. They will retcon it saying he had a secret plan and the Sharingan was needed for his plan
