Eh? What the hell kind of 'Kyuubi form' is that, huh? Just let him transform into the friggin' Kyuubi already, rather than messing around with weird hybrid forms! It works for Bee and Hachibi doesn't it, why does Naruto have to be "special"? Kyuubi (transformed Gamabunta) vs Shukaku was one of my favourite scenes from the anime (even the much shorter manga version was still awesome), this weird form just isn't doing it for me...

Also, it kind of feels like the action isn't flowing as well as it usually does. I'm not getting a feel for the sheer immense size and destructive power of these kaiju-sized monsters as they clash. And putting an arbitrary 5-minute time limit on Naruto's bijuu form just feels stale and tacky (hes not Ultraman, for crying out loud). Still, I thought Gai's reference to 'Destroy All Monsters' was funny.

At first I didn't think the flow was on point either but after reading it a second time it definitely felt and looked right.

I said way back when Naruto unlocked 4 tails that we wasn't gonna see a full Kyuubi until the end of the manga, and I still think that's how it's gonna be. If Naruto went full bijū now there would be nothing to show in a fight between him and Sasuke.

That's because he is special, he's a decedent of the Rikudō Sennin and on top of that he only has half of Kurama chakra. Time limit doesn't really bother me but that's only because we've seen what he can do with Sage Mode in that time.

Read the chapter twice as well, hell of a chapter!

It doesn´t really matter to me if he went full Kyuubi or not, he´s gigantic! That´s enough for now

Can´t wait for more..wonder how Tobi will overpower or outthink them...And do you guys really think he´ll be able to extract both Bijuus? Or only Bee´s?

Naruto is almost like Ultraman.

I thought the time limit made sense. Not only is it Naruto's first time working with Kurama but it's Kurama's first time working with ANYONE. Even he isn't perfect.

I really really like the synchronisation thingy between Kurama and Naruto, team work always feels nice.

And Kakashi saying "Sensei" when Naruto saved their asses... I missed that one the first time!!! Epic. In the panel, Naruto sure looks like Minato.
The second Sage Naruto inside Kyubi's cloak is a clone right? I just catched the detail the second time as well ^^

My two cents for the next chapter: Naruto will be out of Kurama's juice, and they're gonna have to shoot all the remaining black rods in stealth mode!

BOOYAH! I knew it! It's great to finally see the completed fox cloak in action.

Reading it around a couple of times definitely helps to temper the action, but I do agree that it didn't make as big an impact on me as the Sage Mode debut, though that's probably because the situation was a tad more dramatic back then; what with the whole village on the brink of destruction and all. All in all, still a fun as hell read and not to sound vain, but, I'm glad to see Naruto donning an overcoat again. Wicked cool :P

Edit: This new level of synchronization between Naruto and Kurama definitely encourages the concept of a Sage/Fox Cloak, but I'm starting to doubt that it'll happen, now. The Fox Cloak is definitely being propped up as what it should rightfully be; an overpowered, colossal leap in ability. Though I was skeptical of the method at first, I'm glad that Kishimoto is keeping each mode distinct instead of melding them together. As we've seen, Sage Mode still has its place and I hope that it will continue to, if only in a rearguard support capacity. Imagine a Sage Mode clone hopping around atop Bunta's back alongside Bijuu Mode Naruto as they lay the smack-down on some hapless foes.

Also, there's a good chance that the explosions will draw Sasuke to the fight, though I'm banking on him heading over to the Kages to nab a power-up of his own a la Madara.

Compared to the rest of the badassery in this chapter this is kind of insignificant, but did anyone else notice how Gai thought he could stop the five bijuus if he opened the eighth gate? I knew it gave him greater power than a Kage but i didn't think it would do that much. Even though i don't want to see Gai or Lee die, it kind of makes me want to see someone open all eight gates

And also the eight tails is definitely holding his own now compared to before

Well, we know now that "Kage level power" is relative. So if Gai would open the 8th gate, he´d be probably God-level We still don´t know for how long he could have held it up before dying, though...
