Thread: I think we can basically take NaruHina as a given.

Naruto could probably go out into town and say "who wants to help spread my power?"

Hinata herself seems to take it as read that she's going to be with Naruto once this is all over. And I gotta say I loved this bit:

I don't like this at all. Either Kishi can only write psycho girls or Naruto has been doing some flirting off screen. Never, have we seen any indication that Naruto even thinks of Hinata, without being face to face with her.

well, that girl had better make a damn move this time rather than sitting in the sidelines like always.
I dont really have a preference for shipping in this manga. Naruto could end up with kurama for all I care.

That's because Kishimoto is a lousy romance writer. Frankly, Naruto SHOULD have been thinking of Hinata a lot, she's more than earned it, but Kishimoto is afraid to poke the NaruHina angle in case it blows up on him (because he honestly doesn't know how to write character-to-character romance) so he's just been pretending it's not there. That's why I think Naruto and Hinata will most likely only appear together in the "five years later" epilogue where Tsunade is retiring to let Naruto become the 6th Hokage (or something like that)- that way they can be married without Kishi having to actually SHOW any of their relationship.

Last time I checked Naruto wasn't a romance manga.

I'm pretty much with you on this, I don't really care who he ends up with.

There has been know where for romance in this manga since Hinata said she loved Naruto. The boy has had the weight of the world on his shoulders and right now would be a dumb place for it to come out in any other way but thoughts.

You ever read Mashima Hiro's Groove Adventure RAVE (Rave Master in english)? Woven perfectly in among the questing and world-saving and training and unlocking awesome inner strength and fighting through tiered bad guys and all the other common tropes of the shonen action genre there was a really very good romance between the two leads, Haru and Elie. Shonen action and serious romance are NOT mutually exclusive, no matter what Eiichiro Oda thinks, although admittedly Haru and Elie WERE the main hero and heroine of their series, while Hinata is really only a supporting character (another reason I'm convinced NaruSaku is not on the agenda). But RAVE even managed to include multiple well-developed romance plots between secondary characters, while Kishimoto, for example, didn't even let slip that Kurenai and Asuma were in a serious relationship (and she was friggin' pregnant) until after he was DEAD.

I have to say though, I really don't see why people would post in a shipping thread just to declare how little they care about shipping.

Thats right Arcane, I was going to mention how Kishi didnt even have time to fully flesh out, no pun intended, the relationship with Asuma and Kurenai! Not saying that there cant be any romance in Shounen but its not Kishi's style. Instead he likes to give us hints and leave it up to our own interpretation. He's done so with Asuma + Kurenai, Shikamaru + Temari, to some extent Minato + Kushina (the flash back was just a good glimpse for naruto to know his parents better rather than some fully blown romantic twist) and also, even though they never did anything, Jiraiya and Tsunade. The closest thing to romance is Naruto and Sasuke's kiss!!! Kishi seems to be a somewhat shy and repressive person when it comes to that and even though I believe that Naruto will end up with Hinata I dont expect to literally see pages of a relationship progress through the typical stages with them and looking forward to some kind of timeskip in which they will already be established. 1 thing is for certain to me, Naruto WILL NOT be with Sakura.

Hinata will end up with Naruto. How it gets there will be out of panel and will be just as detailed as Hinata's whispers.
