It was stated that the Hokage is always a Senju by... I think it was Madara after the Uchiha battle.

if Naruto uses his clone jutsu while in nine tails mode wouldnt that help the kyuubi gain control of naruto? or will he be in sage mode?

Also, what about the other countries hidden villages leaders?
Are they also related to the Senju and Uchiha or was it only the Leaf folks?

Minato IS NOT a Senju.

From what we know, the clan clearly died out like Uzumaki and Uchiha however their WILL lives on through the village their created with the clans they gathered and that's what Madara was talking about.
After all Hiruzen was not Senju by blood but lived in the village their created and was trained by one in their arts and adopted their will so he was considered a part of their legacy.

The same is true for Minato because Kushina passed her clan techniques and powers to him and he became a part of the Uzumaki legacy. In Japan men can marry into their wife's family and adopt her family's name, it can go both ways unlike in western countries.

That's one of the mistakes people here made when thinking that Naruto received his mother's name for protection when it was his correct name.

The only known living connection to the Senju with actual evidence from the manga is Tsunade but she is equally Uzumaki as well.

Also Yazen could you point it out to me where it is even stated that the Rikudou Sennin lived about 700 years ago, from what I can tell it would have to be for a much longer time than that; especially if you take the whole Moon thing into account. I don't think people would actually forget in that short time frame that the floating giant rock in the sky didn't always used to be there.

madara has taken this mix 'n match approach of eyeballs to the next level. Also is it a stretch to say that if naruto combines his sage mode abilities with the 9 tails mode, it will congeal to form some sort of mutation that has the benefits of enhanced sensory perception and some sort of physical attack born from the eyes alone similar to left and right mangekyo sharingans.

if naruto achieved this (maybe not the eyes) and has several generations of children, im sure something similar to a dojutsu kekkai genkai will appear. Will probably take 1000's of years to become as common as say a byakugan...and a shit load of incestuous relations. Somehow i think the Senju way is to spread the love and not keep within, hence why we hardly see any folks with the senju name (so far) but many who carry their legacy. I don't know how distantly related, Senju and the Uzumaki were before hashirama hooked up with that uzumaki chick or if at all.

How can you say they died out when Tsunade is still alive? And you don't even know if the Third was related to the Senju or not.

There was actually a theory here a long time ago about the possibility of Tsunade being the Fourth's mother. Tsunade is Naruto's grandmother(Theory by Turrin of NF) I don't need to explain what that would mean.

Besides, it would just be plain silly if Naruto wasn't a descendant of the Senju, what with all that talk about fated battles.

Other than Hashirama can you tell me any other supposed Senju that had any powers remotely similar to the Rikudou Sennin or any Sage like abilities, infact Hashirama's powers don't even relate that much to the Sennin younger son's abilities like the Uzumaki clan does.

It makes me wonder if the Senju are infact a branch of the Uzumaki clan, for a clan of people who had incredible longevity; the probably had a long clan history.

What Rikudo Sennin powers? The only thing the Senju side obtained from Rikudo was his body, and that can mean anything from reflexes to intellect to chakra reserves.
