Thread: Naruto Movies

All of the Naruto movies are really bad. Most of them end with Naruto using a rasengan and saving the day. This is truly unfortunate because of how good they could potentially make a Naruto movie. This Thread is made for movie ideas concerning the anime that would be really cool to watch.

The Naruto movie I would like to see made revolves around The First Hokage and Madara. It would be really cool to see a build up to their epic battle. Getting a better idea of what Konoha was like at that time and learning about their struggles for power would only be two of the benefits from such a unique Naruto Movie.

P.S. Lets face it. Almost anything different from the same old Naruto Movies we have been seeing would be nice.

^ Like a Kakashi Gaiden arc, just with the forefathers of Konoha. I like that idea.

Konoha's past and everything before it would always be more interesting. Like the first kage. of which you will notice Kabuto has none despite how well regarded their corpses should be.
Hashirama aside. These men and woman fought the civil shinobi wars and laid the foundation.
Which as it happens i find very funny in the time frame. Not even 100 years ago is basicly all started.
But i am rambling so just show us more founding already.

I'm actually going to go out on a limb here and say that the plot lines so far haven't been that bad. They were just grossly mishandled. The stories were simple and believable enough, and even though they reeked of cheese, if handled properly, they could've been passed off as decent. That's easily accomplished by appropriately scaling Naruto's character to the current story line (i.e. if the movie was scheduled to follow the Hidan/Kakuzu fight, then bring on some elemental mastery, etc.) and giving the secondary characters more face time, particularly in battles.

Though I don't expect the films to further the canon, I certainly hope they expand upon it and drive our appreciation of the characters, and so far they've generally done the opposite.

But don't get me wrong...a throw-back Movie to the olden days would be wicked. I'm definitely all for that. I especially want more details on the White Fang.

Know what else would be a really cool movie? The Itachi vs Suishui fight. The history of the Uchiha is a little over played at times. However, I would like to see the story of how Itachi obtained the Mongekiyo Sharingan. Naruto is a cool main character. Nevertheless, him and Sasuke are focused on a tremendous amount. Watching a two hour movie with Itach as the main character would make me very happy. Instead, we have some fat man riding an animal with Naruto on his shoulders with a rasengan finish. It is sad seeing such a cool jutsu overused in such a manner.

If anything deserves a movie it's one with completely new characters about the birth of the Uchiha and Senju clan. The movie could start off with the Sage of the Six Paths. It would need solid writing though.

Seeing an OVA of Itachi vs. Shusui would be nice. OVAs of side stories would be a breath of fresh air. They could probably make good money off of OVAs if they made them and streamed them through iTunes or some other foreign service.

I actually liked the first movie for each series (before Shippuuden and Shippuuden), but I agree, different characters that actually deepened the canon would be awesome, which is something Oda-sensei actually already did with One Piece. I would prefer it if Naruto went the same route and had a story scrutinized and approved by Kishi.
