What an odd chapter. I kind of expected the nine tails to say something different. Could Naruto be any more vague on what he intends?

it... honestly it was pretty much a waste of a chapter to me. I mean, yeah it kinda establishes naruto's and Kyubi's relationship now, but sticking in the crap about the fingers and sasuke ruined it. there could have been so much more that kishi could have done, but insead he made another completely needless flashback about sasuke again. What's even worse is that this is also the first chapter since the pain arc that hinata has actually shown some kind of affection for said titicular character... and it was in a flashback of all things. I know it sounds like I'm ranting, but this is seriously getting annoying.

I agree with thirdfang.

Ultimately this chapter was just more of the same stuff we've been seeing for several arcs, with someone telling Naruto how hopeless it is to save Sasuke and Naruto just refuting them with 'I'll do it... er, somehow.' yet again.

Aren't we past the time for cheap talk? Repeatedly yelling about how you'll solve everything doesn't have any impact when you still don't have the faintest idea how you're going to solve anything.

this chapter only shows that.
1. Naruto is now > the kyuubi.
and the Kyuubi may also represent us, as the logical choice since we all know you can't stop a war like that and make everyone friends

I skipped all the flashback pages and just read those where the present was shown. I had no time to waste on a shitty Sasuke and Naruto middle school bs flashback. We've already known that they established their butt-hurt brokeback mountain romance back then.

And damn, someone needs to get PETA on Naruto's ass. He's now the new Michael Vick!

I had no problem with this chapter I actually found the talking fine. I did LMFAO!! at the end, I thought Naruto was gonna do the harmony symbol, then BAM dude locked him away again lol.

I agree with R3dKnight as well.
I really felt that Naruto is fucking crazy and insane now. But his one (and only one) argument legitimates his hybris, in my opinion:
"I can't save the wolrd, but the only thing I can is trying, so I'll try no matter what"

kinda liked that the kyuubi was actually trying to be something other than hostile with naruto.
Naruto kinda had a point though. Though this still was more of the same; telling us what we already know.

Was it just me or was the kyuubi(or kishi stalling) acting as the final save point or the point before naruto "crosses the rubicon"?

You know, the fox actually brought up some good points to Naruto. He is naive, foolish, and quick tempered. Here he is running out to "save the day" while simultaneously giving Madara exactly what he wants... the chance to take the fox away from him. Here several shinobi nations have crafted an elaborate stategy to keep Naruto secure and here he goes ignoring all of that and running directly into the trap.

But you know what? Naruto's going to prob run out there, stop Madara and bring an end to this war anyway. As for Sasuke, I hope he actually kills him but there's no way that's going to happen. A good 'ol speech-no-jutsu from Naruto will finally save Sasuke though I'd really hate to see that happen.
