    Also what makes Naruto more stupid in my mind, besides exposing himself, running into war without a plan etc etc, is that he's running though the forest to the battlefield like a GD bedside nightlight! This goes against every code of Ninja ethics dammit! Not to mention I cant stop thinking about how messed up, in my mind, Naruto was for slamming the Kyuubi the way he did and giving him the rape face, lol. Talk about animal cruelty... but I guess this is all part of the bitching process between Bijuu and Host.

    I guess I'm the only one who liked this chapter. I never cared for pre-timeskip Hinata but what she did was so cuuuuuuute!

    Anyways, although I really wanted to see more of the war now that it's passed a possible turning point, and although I agree that it was mostly saying what has already been said, I have to give it my thumbs up for being about the first time Naruto and Sasuke have ever interacted and for setting the stage for how Naruto and the Kyuubi are going to interact from now on.

    Plus, honest to god, I missed the old school setting where everyone was still just training to be ninjas, so that brought a smile to my face.

    May those who accept their fate be granted happiness; to those who defy it, glory.

    You wasn't the only one who liked it, I had no problem with it. The Kyuubi needs to start realising that if he dont corporate with Naruto he's gonna be screwed ever by Naruto or by anyone who tries to kill him.

    @R3dKnight

    You said it. And dammit you are absolutely right about that finger hold prediction. Just as sure as kishi foreshadowed the Itachi head poke, we're going to see it happen.

    I would personally prefer Sasuke takes a cheap shot on Naruto instead and they start a deathmatch.

    Finger Hold Prediction from way before time

    The imminent finger hold is less of a prediction and more of a given. If anything the only purpose this flashback served was to tell us what that gesture meant back then in the first place and could've been avoided altogether in my book.

    Pretty much my thoughts!

    I liked this chapter too, it shows us that Naruto stays true to himself and is self confident (even if he probably has no idea what to do, besides going in, kicking everyone´s butt, and then saving Sasuke )!

    Thats the reason you liked it? Because before this chapter Naruto never showed that quality right. Besides the less than menacing interaction initiated by the Kyuubi (something I never though i'd see anytime soon) and the manhandling of it by Naruto (a feat of Naruto's complete lack of fear for his once most terrifying demon), which could both be the likely foreshadowing of a long awaited collaboration between the host and beast, I dont see how the rhethoric in this chapter could have come off as anything less than pedantic to you this week.

    The problem with sitting here criticizing Naruto's actions each week is that we should all really be criticizing the mangaka's poor main character development.

    I mean let's face it. These characters are limited to the mangaka's own personal under achievement. Every time a chapter like this comes out with confusing philosophical speeches and a determination with no real destination, I wonder if that mangaka meant to write something really cool but keeps hitting a block with his character.

    It's a common failing trait in stories now. If you want to actually read something with character development than read the Inheritance series by Paolini or the Bartimeaus series by Stroud. Both have excellent narratives and development.

    Some of you will dislike what I say or, as usual, be completely confused. The bottom line is I don't like to criticize their character anymore because I realize that this is young shonen material, and basically, I'm sitting back and relaxing until the end.
