Kishi better give us some flashbacks.
The manga is rushing. I think it's ending soon. Kishi don't seem to waste time on side fights.
That's a good, and a bad thing
Personally I think this is a good change in pace. I don't think anyone wants Naruto to become stale. Best to end it well, then to draw it out and have it become something less then great, imo.
Lol, I forgot that they were supposed to fight xD
And yeah, the quicker this manga ends, the better. If done properly
And damn, even Bee goes out now? Those Jinchuus are sure dumb :P
But I guess thatīs the only way the manga can progress... and what the fuck is Madara up to now? And whereīs Sasuke? (damn, I donīt really want to know that actually ^^)
I also think its a good thing in a way. the fights aren't important really, and if the manga is still up when the anime hits this point, it could actually serve as moderately decent filler material.
well, I hope Bee and Naruto can make a killer entrance in sages modes
It doesn't seem like long before this 'war' wraps up. Most of the Zetsu army is down(a least on one battlefield) and Madara's entered the fray with a 'NUKE' jutsu with the obvious intention of drawing out the jinchuuriki.
Probably Killer Bee's gonna lose his life against Gedo Mazo. Naruto may get spared by virtue of going to help Gaara/Kakashi instead, leaving him to seek out Madara and fight Sasuke.
We're looking at another 50-60 chapters at the most, I think...
I'M NO HERO, BELIEVE IT!
Killerbee will definitely lose his life in this war, in part Naruto would be to blame for such and event, and when he finds out he'll go "RAWWRR" DETERMINATION!!!
The barrier team was funny stuff. I liked how one minute the captain was so confident and all like "WE WILL NOT FAIL!!!!!" next minute he was just like "OK! WE FAILED!". It wouldv'e been really kool is Naruto could have controlled his transformation into the fox like Killberbee does for the Hachi. Think of how epic a page spread would've been of them escaping!
"He is now declaring his words to the WORLD!"
While I agree that the manga's definitely drawing up to a conclusion, no pun intended, I can't say that I like the pacing in the least bit.
My biggest expectation with this war was that it would give the Konoha 11 a much needed chance at development; a chance that I felt they were robbed of during the Pein invasion and the subsequent rebuilding. While we –did- get a chance to see some of the characters in action, I personally believe that the rushed pace only cheapened their development and detracted from their achievement.
That ideal was further reinforced by Naruto being kept out of the picture, and honestly, as long as he was training, I could care less. And that’s another issue all its own. This is the third time that his training has been cut short in arc 2 and I really don’t see the point. If it’s to show off his skill at improvising tactics, then why not just relegate him to the background where we don’t see any of the training in the least bit (think Rasen Shuriken debut)? Plus, more time spent training = time to bond with Bee, whom I believe is likely to bite the dust, soon and the brownie points couldn’t hurt.
Augh…when I think back on the plethora of things Bee could’ve taught Naruto, I get depressed… Their relationship reminds me of Piccolo and Gohan, and I’ve been aching to see Naruto donning the shades and sash of the Bee get-up, with maybe some blade skills to boot! Not just that, but Bee’s capacity to see into people’s hearts would’ve been perfect for Naruto with his Fox-afforded sensory abilities. The time spent in the turtle could’ve been the upgrade of a lifetime, producing a battle-ready Naruto who’s truly worthy of ending this war.
But I digress. All I’m saying is, it may suck to have to read it now on a weekly basis, but taking your time with it can make one hell of a masterpiece in hindsight. The Marine Ford battle of One Piece is a prime example, at least in my opinion.
