What did Madara mean when he said he was about to "find a substitude *with the Gedo Mazo in the background suggestively*"? I remembered a while back it was his intension to use sasuke as the new host/substitute in place of Nagato to control the statue, I still believe this to his goal (probably the reason he is helping him get so strong) but would that mean he will give sasuke the extra Rinnegan? Another thing that just came to mind was what if when he said "substitute" he meant a substitue for himself? We've seen Madara lose and discard limbs as if they were dead weight only for him to reappear perfectly fine, what are the chances that he has a dozen Zetsu-esque Madara clones waiting in the wings for him to switch out at his disposal?
"He is now declaring his words to the WORLD!"
I gave up on such speculation as well but I just wanted to arouse discussion for old times sake. No wonder this place is dead.
"He is now declaring his words to the WORLD!"
I don't remember Madara losing limbs and then reappearing perfectly fine... The only time I remember him getting hurt is against the Fourth, and after that he just turned tail.
Edit: Oh, and against the lovely Konan. I thought he was still missing an arm when he took the Rinnegans from Nagato, though.
Still, what you're saying makes sense. If Madara has a shit ton of copies of himself using Zetsu, it would explain why he's so obsessed with collecting eyes: so that he could distribute them among his clones. Perhaps to give those other Sharingan EMS properties, he may use what Nagato did to give the 6 paths of Pain and their many summons Rinnegans of their own.
It's also possible that he was talking about substitutes for the statue. After all, he'd have to be absolutely moronic to send out his only one to the battlefield, where it can get damaged and possibly become unable to extract the remaining bijuus from Naruto and Bee.
May those who accept their fate be granted happiness; to those who defy it, glory.
@ TheJaggid: Yes, Madara lost an arm when he fought Danzou's followers. He cut himself his arm because bugs were infesting his body.
He just couldn't care less of losing an arm, there must be an explanation and Krazy's a good and most likely one.
Transplanting all the Sharingan into Zetsus is not a far fetched theory after all. He'll need a powerful base to create his Moon eye jutsu.
