-Mifune is a Ronin(masterless samurai)? Doesn't make sense. If he's the leader of the samurai and the general of the Iron Country, then obviously he's serving some king/lord.

-Many of the resurrected ninjas have mismatched opponents. Mifune doesn't really have any connection to Hanzo, Chiyo would be better served fighting Sakura than Kankuro, and Kimmimaro is just wasted on samurai fodder.

-Kishi doesn't seem to understand much about samurai philosophy.

as for chiyo vs sakura fight. don't get your hopes down just yet.
kakashi's division is not ordered to go anywhere yet. if they (the poisoned ones), who are ordered to continue to fall back, manage to meet up with mifune's samurai, who are ordered to assist darui's and kitsuchi's divisions (they are also ordered to fall back too... waay back) then this current battle is close to kakashi's division battlefield.

which mean we might see a chiyo vs sakura fight and a kimmimaro vs lee fight in the near future

Correct me if i'm wrong but did Hanzo actually die there? don't tell me that psychobabble got to him so much it jarred his soul loose.

Heh, that's the thing. Underneath all those fancy lines and sword poses Kishimoto seems to have forgotten that Mifune's apparent 'victory' is completely worthless. Hanzo is already dead; a sword slash means nothing to him; they're just talking as if he lost for dramatic effect.

The best part of this chapter was the Kyuubi Mode Naruto color-page at the very end.

Maybe Hanzo might have a Sasori moment?

Indeed it was a confusing chapter even more so when trying to read it on an iPhone. I am double tapping the pages and re-reading because I thought I missed something. No the chapter is just that confusing. Why is everyone so bent on a Chiyo and Sakura fight, they have completely different fighting styles and they bonded only for one fight. If anything she should just give up her soul or fight Tsunade if anybody, besides if she fights Sakura what is the climax. Could Sakura actually loose to her, NO, even if she was about to leave Tsunade would show up at the last second and save her. Also have any of the known good guys even lost yet, so it is kind of a pointless fight, reminds me of Bleach's "winter war" that nobody on the good side died.

Mifune is a Ronin... not hard to understand/believe. He may have had a master long ago and has since either abandoned that person or that person has died and he went off to learn his samurai ways all alone. His memories of a past fight with Hanzo from back in the day was pretty cool. He kinda looked like a younger Shodaime, if you ask me. Maybe there is a connection to the armor as well, seeing as the young Mifune's armor looked fairly similar to the flashback shots of Shodai/Nidaime's armor and the rest of the clan's armor as well. Could be related in some way??

I'm looking forward to seeing some awesome Samurai no jutsu coming up, but something tells me that Kishi is going to shift back to Gaara/Tsuchikage's fight with the previous Kage's. Anyone agree? I'm also expecting a little bit of Command Center scenes in the next chapter, nothing too special though, probably just more planning and explanation. If, in fact, the next chapter has anything about the fight between the Kage's (current and former) then I highly expect some Command Center stuff so that Raikage can say some cool stuff about the former Raikage that's out on the battlefield. Those are just my two cents though.
