Thread: Kishi's Latest Jump Festa Interview

The dreaded day has come. It's this time of the year again, when Kishimoto shares some "valuable" infos for us, regarding what we can expect from the manga next year...

-The Japanese voice actress for Naruto pointed out to Kishi, that he didn't exactly keep his promise about Kakashi being overly active this year. So, basically, he apologized for it and promised that he will do it next year.

-He wants to write more about Shikamaru and Chouji's bond with Shikamaru.

Yes. That's all folks. No Naruto, Sasuke or Sakura.

... riiiight. a jump interview that only has 3 comments, if only that. obviously Naruto is as one dimensional as bleach so there's no reason to ask questions...
any idea when the rest of the interview is gonna be released/translated? I forgot how it was released last year...

Supposedly, that's all. The raw I recieved included that and a small talk about Kishi that I'm sure nobody cares about. (Kishi planning to have a trip to Hawaii and being shy etc etc etc. <_>) Should I get more infos, I'm gonna translate it and post it here.

Now you see why I didn't post it, there's nothing there lol.

I'm happy that's it. He's last interview was more about what the editors wanted and he didn't end up doing it, which i'm happy about. From day 1 kishi has always talked about "bonds" and seeing that bit about Shiki and Cho sounds more like him then his editors.

I've been hearing alot about how kishi's been pushed around by his editors these past few years. Where exactly is the concrete evidence? Like, quotes, examples, stuff like that.

^^He was pushed around from the very start. Remember how Sasuke wasn't originally intended to be a part of the series, only inserted as Naruto's rival foil? Or how Hinata was to be a normal person from the Hyuga clan? I think the most recent ones are involving Taka and how Kishi didn't want to write them into the story and how Akatsuki was supposed to be filled with Zetsu-like "monsters".

Here's a couple quotes

This is why im fine with the interview, because you can clearly see when he's doing something he wants to do in the manga then when he's asked too.

that sasuke thing seems intriguing, did he actually confirm that?
if he did, then he's partially redeemed in my eyes.

i wonder if naruto would be a much better manga if Kishi presented it to editors of a less mainstream magazine back then.
i guess he'd be paid much less, too.

This seems to be the most retarded thing about manga industry - you can be an author of one of most popular manga in the world, and yet to your employers you're still just a puny worker, bound by contracts and obligated to rape your own story, if asked to.

Kishi's all good with his bond theme and all but what more do we need to get out of Shika and Chouji's? Its not like he's gonna focus solely on them on 2011 anyways so it's w/e, just once he has good things planned for his war.
