I was getting all excited when Naruto was about to transform into the Nine Tailed Fox. But of course, Naruto predictably failed. Isn't he supposed to be the knucklehead unpredictable ninja? It seems like every time Naruto takes one step forward, he ends up taking two steps back. He's got two transformations that give him incredible power, but both of them just keep adding dangers. Sage Mode can't be used in combat because of the time-to-download problem. And his new Fox Mode is problematic because the Kyuubi gets to suck on Naruto's own chakra whenever he enters it.
You know what would be perfect? If Naruto could somehow figure out a way to combine them so that the Kyuubi sucks on the Nature chakra instead of Naruto's chakra. Then the Kyuubi would turn good (shaddup its manga logic) and Naruto would FINALLY get some actual progress. In fact, if Naruto could give the Kyuubi control for a while, it would give Naruto free reign to absorb Nature chakra. You know, the whole "separating movement from absorbing" deal that was mentioned a long while back.
Of course, this is entirely speculative and we all know that Kishimoto wants to make Naruto struggle for his wins. Easy upgrades are the sole property of the Uchiha. It's complete bull**** favoritism.
