This really is friggin epic. Surprised at the lack of kage though. or atleast hokage. Yagura the mizukage is among the jinchuriki. The mummified one must be the nindaime tsuchikage.
However who is the spikey haired person standing next to Zabuza?

^ I know who it is. It's that guy who tried to kill Bee's dad. You know, the one that got gored by the hachibi right before A cut the horn off in the flashback.

Ok. As for revived kage, I'm guessing the mummy guy is the 2nd tsuchikage.

Also, yeah, freaking epic. There needs to be more conversation between the konoha 12 and everyone else, duh, but other than that...

it's been too good lately... kishi's gonna do something horrifically stupid soon. the hairs on the back of my neck are telling me so... its in his nature...

That's who I thought it was but he's wearing what looks like a sand jacket Motoi's father was wearing the cloud one and he was fatter.

I noticed a minor error on Kishi's part though regarding that map. It was established way back that the hidden mist is located out a ways away on an island and not connected that close as you can see here.

Epic chapter... it feels like Dr.Wily's fortress where you have to beat all his bots again. Hopefully those aren't everything Kabuto had Edo Tensei-ed in and he has some more off-panel/screen.

I'll be rereading the chapter again, this time while listening to This is War.

no, kishi's just confusing people with the map. the Kirigakure is in the land of water. the enemy's path is going through the land of mist... why its name is that I have no idea.

I am so pumped. You know that this isn't all the people that Kabuto has resurrected. I'm certain he's brought back Konan and Kisame and all those dead guys. It only showed six of the Jinchuuriki and five of the Akatsuki. There are still a lot of ninja that are mentionable. Maybe Jiraiya is among the unmentioned undead as well, which would be a mind-fuck for Naruto.

Speaking of Naruto, I'm really glad that he's still got the chakra claw and he's not just going to instinctively know how to use it. Maybe when Naruto gets really good at it, he'll be able to transform his entire body like Killer Bee can? Then again, since he's sealed away the mind of the Nine-tails, that would seem unlikely.

I love that cover-page. Everyone is in utilitarian Chunin uniforms instead of their own personal outfits. That alone makes this whole war seem more serious. I wonder why Tenten is in the Mid-Ranged Division instead of the Long-Ranged division? Maybe because she's good at both long and short range? Of course, Might Guy is freaking out because he's now under Kakashi. And smooth Kakashi just averts his eyes, probably thinking "I'm not a rival with this guy, I'm not a rival with this guy, I'm not a rival with this guy."
I brainstorm with my multiple personalities.

Finally got time to read this chapter and I must say, I agree with all the "Epics" yall gave it. After I read it I was talking to my buddy and we joked about how shitty Bleach is right now but with this massive revamped military chain of command in Naruto ( Divisions, Captains, Generals etc) it seems that this Ninja Alliance is the new Soul Society.

Things seem to be heading in the right direction, my only fear is how Kishi is going to mesh all these big names together and give us all the action we rightfully deserve from a war of this magnitude. It looks like I might get my Old School Kage vs New School Kage line up too so at least we'll get to see people like Gaara's dad and King Kong Raikage show off their skills. Kabuto got his hands on Chiyo so im hella surprised he didn't get his grummy hands on Jiraiya. Maybe Kishi is keeping the Epicness of a Jiraiya corpse a last minute "WTF" moment.

Sasuke's eyes are taking too long to "Mature" so only God knows what type of abilities will manifest when he's finally done. On paper this Ninja War should last longer than OP's WB War so I eagerly await the next installment.

"He is now declaring his words to the WORLD!"

You can see that their are more people at each end of the page meaning there is more people that we can see right now.

As much as how I would have loved to say "OMG this is epic," I mean come on... Edo Tensei this, Edo Tensei that. It's spammed more than Shinra Tensei was during the Pain invasion.

If Kishi wanted those characters back, he shouldn't have killed them in the first place. Blah blah blach, character development for minor characters, blah blah. It's like Kishi thought, "hmm I got nothing for the bad side, so I'll just make crap up so that the readers will like that I bring their favorite characters back." Things like how he revived Nagato, even though we've seen that he didn't have ashes (he actually had a full corpse) was just a little much. Same goes for many of the people that Kabuchimaru revived.

Not only that, everything is hugely stacked in favor of the bad side; the only way out is a huge deus ex machina. As we've seen with Tsuchikage's fight with Deidara, the zombie versions have all of their abilities in their previous life. Think of the possibilities:

    - Deidara alone can use C4 and kill off thousands of non-lightning ninjas. Even after that, he can explode and kill off even more.

    - Chiyo-ba + Sasori, with the huge amounts of puppets they control can take out huge numbers as well, considering Sasori once boasted that he took over an entire country with his puppets.

    - Imagine Itachi... who is forced to be serious, with an indestructible body... now imagine Susanoo with the Sword Tsukioka + Divine Mirror. If Deidara got his arms back, it's very certain Itachi will get his eyes back.

    - Worst? Nagato. Shinra Tensei spamming, chakra absorbing, summons/summons/more summons, and of course MASS REVIVAL.

    - Something worst? What's stopping Kabuchimaru from continually reviving these dead people? All he needs is retrieval of ashes or some sort of crack plot to continually produce more and more of the dead Ninjas.

It's highly doubtful that the Jinchuurikis will have tailed beasts within them because if they "die" the beasts will too and it'll hinder Madara's plans even further. Salamander Hanzo, Zabuza, Haku, will probably be some sort of fodder. Dan, the previous Sand and cloud kages, Neji's dad, Asuma, will be used for character development so it's not really a big deal.

Kishi shoulda taken another week to plan more instead of more Edp Tensei spam. It's just like putting a boo-boo band aid on a serious plot hole, hoping to appeal to the masses by giving people their favorite characters in action again. Ya, it's superficially pretty, but if you think about the plothole instead of ignoring it then this manga becomes Bleach.
