I thought it was awesome (and sad at the same time) how the scroll was booby trapped (remember the chuunin exam)

and all those S-Class ninjas there didnt think twice before opening the scroll. . .

well at least kisame got the scroll away to Madara, making his death somewhat meaningful...

I was really annoyed about if before, but I think Kishi finally got it right with Kisame at the end. Although I wish he had more chances to be badass and swing Samehada around a little (the fight with Killerbee wasn't that good really), at least Kishi gave him a great death, rather than having his head chopped off by Raikage and Bee.

Gai deciding to remember Kisame's name (at last) is hilarious.

And the scroll was a nice final touch, he must've figured their guard'd be down if he died and they took the scroll from him.

Looking forward to next chapter. I wanna see Madara in a good fight, and let's face it...no way Konan can pull off a win in this. Better for her to defect to Konoha and supply them information actually.

yeah, that WOULD have been the smart choice and probably is what she would have done if it weren't for kishiit being. . .kishiit seems like he is trying to kill off as many characters as possible because hes too lazy to actually draw them contributing in the war, maybe except for kabuto(and his zombies) but idk wth is up with that, Kabuto was pretty much finished as a character after orochimaru jackson died of a hear att...itachis monster thingy...

I guess zombies are easier to draw than real people. . .no dialogue lmao it would be like a bleach chapter.`

what I REALLY wanted to see was some Naruto testing out his chakra and training with killer bee. . .

kishi could have just dispensed with the whole kisame thing(and saved him for the war/plot twists based on the spying information and had naruto show us his stuff, to me this whole kisame mini arc/excuse to kill him off was just unnecessary. I was really hoping to have kisame show off his one tailed beast thingy during the war, while using his chkra absorbing abilities. . .that would have been badass. . .

but it seems like hes just going the lazy satan 666 route for an ending. . .

he probably would have, I mean hes already been set for life at the end of part 1 lol, its kinda like toriyama and dragonball lol.

A lot of these shounen series arent really made for long looooong drawn out stories, or epics. . .

It seems to me that the only story like this is one piece, maybe there are others but no one really has the passion that oda has to make the story good and get better over time without having to take years and years of breaks for inspiration(im looking at you, berserk, HunterxHunter, D.Gray man) I think if the shounen jump heads would just leave mangakas alone to do their own stuff, we would have shorter stories that make sense and arent filled with BS later on down the line, the next new people would come up and maybe even more people WOULD write the one piece esque type epics with great stories, characters and imagination.

Hell maybe even the mangas would become more popular again and people would buy more instead of publishers trying to shut scanlators down, they would focus on finding good mangakas, and the scanlators would help bring more revenue from fans making a manga popular. but you know. . . .

I wonder if Itachi had Kisame under a genjutsu when he first looked at him in this chapter? WTH was Naruto praying on page 10. LOL

If Naruto would end, including Bleach and One Piece
I would have imagine Shounen Jump would be in financial ruins right now

It sucks to be a Berzerk fan. I didn't even waste my time getting into it deeply for that very reason. The author does everything by hand for himself so he takes fricken forever to release his shit.

Good chapter. That was a death fitting for a top class Akatsuki member! He even made a fail safe for his intel so his death wasn't a waste in the end. Now either Naruto and company leave the island or they heavily beef up security cause now their location is compromised.
