You make a clear point. I was blocked on thinking about the way The Hawk used the trick.
But nothing tells us that every beast summoning land has its own barrier.
We know it was not a pb for Pain (Konoha's barrier couldn't stand a chance), but maybe (maybe not) for Madara.
We'll never know.

I do believe as well that the scroll will definitely land in the hands of Mad' (no Danzou around there to kill the frog...errr the shark I mean)

guy is going to piss on kisame cuz taijutsu rules all. guy is a taijutsu beast incarnate!!!. go gai sensei!!!! we all know that madara can pass through barriers like he did back when minato and kushina were supposedly protected by a barrier - that did not even seem to be an issue for madara. he may as well just come to the island to help out kisame. not sure if kisame will actually die though. he is one of the more popular villains in the manga (not to mention that he has the identical voice of kenpachi from bleach). kishi has hardly ever shown taijutsu freaks in this manga (in action that is), and when he does it's a jolly good fight imo. gai could even fight sharingan users without problems (one of the few ninjas to actually go toe to toe with uchihas and not feel handicapped by their doujutsu in any way. gai is a force to be reckoned with man. how can he be a waste of paper? some people are only consumed by the awesome jutsus in this manga and totally forgetting the absolute importance of taijutsu. no one is better at it than gai in this manga.

...gai is good at taijutsu but kisame just siphoned off 8-tails biju chakra ....either way whatever the outcome this battle needs to come to an end in this chapter i want to see naruto's developement

The frog summoning land didnt have a barrier, just a maze that was very hard to get through (I think the frog said that it would take like 20 years or something. . .and pain being badass would just walk right in, Madara would teleport

We KNOW Madara can go through barriers, as he entered Konoha and helped Itachi kill the Uchihas That and he can go through anything, open and close dimensions at will or whatever, going to a summoning beasts land would be no problem, Even if madara for some reason couldn't, the summoned beasts could just lead kisame out like the frogs did Naruto (granted ma had to reverse summon, but she had to get out of the land anyway to do that (and she wasnt summoned) as *Ninjas* (I know its not REALLY a ninja story) more importantly S-Rank/kage lvl ninjas. . .they are supposed to be some smart people who know all of the options available to them, especially with kisames and madaras combined experience. I just know if kisame dies, it would just be lame as he could avoided it altogether.

That brings me to another thought. . .the barrier doesnt start and end on land (being that a giant squid attacked him next to the island, so Kisame could have just dived in to the ocean and went under the barrier. . .Or at least waited underwater untill madara teleported there. At least hed only have to fight Bee in octmode(if it can breathe underwater)

it just seems like there were a lot of ways for kisame not to have to fight a losing battle, but he just didnt use his s-rank kage level brains(or wasnt allowed to by kishi)

lame as it sounds Kisame could use a clone like he did with Itachi ....he had some time before Gai showed up...Madara doesnt have enough henchmen left so its better if Kishi keeps Kisame alive

well about your fangasm comment... really unnecessary btw. i was merely stating a fact. kisame is a chakra monster and so gai would be the best person to counter his abilities by using taijutsu. this is a battle that kisame can only win by escaping with the help of madara. gai is the only person in the manga that has total mastery over taijutsu. i was merely giving credit where it is due man. it's not only about jutsus dude. i actually like kisame more than most ppl in the manga btw. but against gai he has no chance, none at all. some of you are begging for another plot no jutsu to complain about. all this reverse summoning crap that only happened once with kishi's golden uchiha. of course there are ways that he can escape if kishi allows it. just like the way jiraiya died, he did not have to go out like that, but kishi wanted it to be that way. kisame has to fight gai and he may actually die this time around. trying too hard..... lol maybe you take this manga a little too seriously dude. it's just an opinion that i had like you have yours in fact opinions are like assholes... everybody has one

Just a lil tidbit of info that people might be missing with all the arguments going on, the barrier around the island isn't to keep people out but just to track and keep taps of what comes in and out of its area. Its similar to the barrier that konoha had at the time of the pein invasion where that 1 priest sensed the single presence of animal realm when she broke in before she summon the other paths to confuse the ground troops that were looking for a single person (not knowing that that 1 person summoned 6 other people).

When Madara teleports into a place like a boss people cant sense him. Kisame could come in and out of that barrier as he pleases but once he's inside of it, Matoi would be able to track his movements however once he's out then he's as free as a shark in the vast open ocean. So it makes sense to call bs when the time it took for Kisame to summon his shark and put his scroll in its mouth could have gone into swimming out into the open ocean and escaping without conflict. He had like a 15-30 second lead on Gai too, all he had to do was swim a little further. He didn't need help from Madara to get away... he just should have keep swimming. Kishi wants to give us a fight though so it had to be done like this.

yes kwasi as i said kishi obviously wants gai and kisame to fight like the jiraiya-pein fight. soo.... we'll have a fight for sure. lol
