Thread: I miss Haku

I was watching some earlier episodes of the anime and realized how awesome of a character concept Haku was. He was young, skilled, had a cool bloodline and could make hand seals with one hand. The fact that he wore an ANBU mask but without the ugly ANBU clothes made him look cool as well. And we all know that androgyonous characters make the best ninjas because they can infiltrate both as men and women. It was also pretty much stated that Haku was stronger than Kakashi at the time but died willingly to protect Zabuza from the blow.

I wonder how strong Haku would have been in the series' current time if he had survived up till now. Would he have been on hokage level or stronger? One of life's great mysteries.

Isn't everyone? Sasuke and Naruto are far above the average hokage level. Just look at the fight at the summit. Sure, if Hashirama or Minato would have been there, it would have been another story. But the current kages feel average compared to the great god-ninjas of the storyline (maybe we didn't see their full strength though). But I have a gut-feeling that Haku could become one of the top because he was portrayed like that kind of genius when he first appeared (being able to counter a technique after seeing it once etc.).

No matter how strong someone is, everything falters in the face of destiny. Or so as Kishimoto portrays it. Haku was indeed strong at the time, but he wasn't stronger than Kakashi. The only reason why that was hinted was because Zabuza, who didn't have a good grasp on Kakashi's strength to begin with (which is why he lost). Though I will agree that Haku was a great and interesting character, and a pity that he died so early making him a waste.

Everyone who doesn't have a connection to the original Sage of the Six Paths is basically garbage in this Manga.

No...Never. He would have been around Gaara or Neji's level, but that's it.

I totally miss that signs with one hand thing, that was beyond badass.

Though this is far from canon. I remember in the second ultimate ninja game. They had a further plot in which kabuto and orochimaru attempt to force tsunade to heal his arms. At one point using edo tensei to revive the third zabuza and haku to fight. Haku was ultimately felled by sasuke. likely with a soundly ironic chidori.

I could do without seeing Haku ever again, even if he was hinted as being strong the anime portrayed him as very weak when he lost to a no-tailed Naruto. Unless he had awesome strategy capabilities he seemed out of tricks if you break 1 of his mirrors.
