I don't have my hopes up for the next chapter. I think it will be a rushed fighting chapter between Gai and Kisame. The worst thing about fighting chapters is that they take about 5 seconds to finish and once you have read them, you have to wait another fucking week for another rushed fighting chapter that will take 5 seconds to read.

^ ....maybe Kisame will escape .....even 8tails had a tough time fighting Kisame ..and he has already been used to show Naruto's new speed chakra

well, there's that chance that the story's focus will be change to the five kages' army or even sasuke, since we've been seeing to many naruto lately...

^I don't think we've seen too many Naruto lately... to be honest.

The armies are a good idea but the other idea isn't... I'm biased. XD

personally, I'm up for seeing more naruto. The kage army sounds fun too, but PLEASE, just dont show He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named!

I just hope we don't see a contrived situation with Naruto, Yamato and Bee out of action for some retarded reason just so Gai can die fighting Kisame. I know many fanboys have been crying for that outcome simply because they feel it 'would be right' but that doesn't make it any less out of place. Gai showing up just to die, far from his team, with no development and no good reason to sacrifice himself would be a horrible waste of a character.

Well a while back in an interview. Kishi was saying Naruto Shikamaru Sakura and so forth needed to grow up. Hence the deaths of Asuma and Jiraiya and Tsunade's coma plus the rest of her emo crap. But he also said Lee does not need to grow up. He's been pretty true and straightforward about what he went on in that interview. So i'd say it means Gai is not going to die. I'm hoping to see all 8 gates opened but most likely he has found some means to survive. Maybe Naruto's new power bringing on life with Yamato's chakra or some bull could revive him should he die.
